What happened on Days of our Lives, Friday, January 30, 2026, when Leo rejected Dimitri, Xander worried he was a lost cause, Kristen lashed out at Belle, and Gwen pitched a plan to a surprising ally.
What happened on Days of our Lives

At the Salem Inn, Leo called Javi and left a voicemail. “I’m thinking about you and I love you,” Leo said. Leo called Marlena, but the call went to voicemail. Dimitri called Leo, but he did not answer. “Stop pestering me,” Leo grumbled. Leo thought about the last time he had spoken to Dimitri in prison, when he had encouraged Leo to enjoy his life. Leo looked at his wedding photo.
Gwen was annoyed to see Dimitri in the DiMera living room looking at photos of Stefano for his memorial. “I wonder, does the ISA suspect anyone else of being Peter’s accomplice?” Gwen asked. Dimitri noted that Peter’s accomplice watched a video feed from Alamania. Dimitri reminded Gwen that he had been captive in Alamania and that he could not have helped Peter. Dimitri added that he and Vivian hated one another and would never work together.
“She and I have a common enemy,” Gwen said. “I’m not your enemy, Gwen. You’re the one who unleashed all this hatred on me,” Dimitri said. Gwen admitted she was still furious with Dimitri, but that she had not kidnapped him. Dimitri told Gwen he was eager to divorce her and take all the money. Soon, Leo walked in.
“I’ve come here on a mission to get you out of my system once and for all,” Leo said. Gwen cackled and settled on the couch to listen. Dimitri argued that he and Leo were meant to be together. “We are both victims here,” Dimitri argued. When Leo mentioned Javi, Dimitri agreed that Javi was also a victim. “Javi is also not here. And I am. I’m here and I love you,” Dimitri said. Dimitri told Leo that he would never stop loving him.
As Dimitri leaned in to kiss Leo, Leo pushed him away. Leo read a list of negatives about Dimitri, including encouraging him to do hurtful things to people. “My ex makes you long for him after he breaks your heart into a million pieces, which is not something I would wish on anyone. And now I’m done reading and with you,” Leo said. Dimitri pointed out that he and Leo were alike.
“We do have the same bad qualities. And I hate that you bring them out in me. Javi does the opposite,” Leo said. “Does he make you a better person?” Dimitri said in a mocking tone. Dimitri told Leo that he loved the real Leo, and he did not want to change him. “We belong together,” Dimitri said. “You’re wrong,” Leo said as he marched out of the house. Gwen laughed.
“Your days here are numbered, Gwen. Don’t forget, I can make you disappear just the way you made me disappear,” Dimitri said. After Dimitri walked out, Gwen muttered, “Not if I get rid of you first.” Gwen called Vivian. Confused, Vivian asked Gwen why she had called. “Do you still hate the Von Leuschner’s as much as you used to?” Gwen asked. “More,” Vivian said. Gwen told Vivian that she had a plan.

At Bayview, Kristen visited Rachel to talk to her about the hearing. “It’s not too late to change your mind. You know I’d do anything to protect you,” Kristen said. Rachel countered that she did not want her mother to go back to prison for her actions. “And Dr. Gregory says I need to tell the truth,” Rachel added. Kristen told Rachel that she disagreed with Dr. Gregory’s choices, but she agreed with her decision to keep Rachel from Sophia.
Kristen encouraged Rachel to make friends with kids her own age. Rachel complained that everyone but Sophia made her feel crazy. “I want to go home,” Rachel pleaded. “I want that too. More than anything. And you know what? You will be home soon. I promise you that,” Kristen said.
Brady and Belle chatted over coffee in the square. Brady thanked Belle for her help with Kristen and Rachel’s court case. “I’m really glad you and Mom worked things out,” Belle said. “Everyone deserves forgiveness, right? Especially Marlena,” Brady said. Belle cautioned Brady to avoid the penthouse since Marlena had a meeting with Xander. “I’m glad he’s getting help. Because that can only be good for Sarah and Victoria,” Brady said. Belle smiled.

Sarah was walking through the square with Victoria when she stopped to say hello. Belle was late for work, so she gathered her things and left. When Brady offered to buy Sarah a coffee, she hesitantly declined. “Is there something wrong?” Brady asked. Sarah reluctantly told Brady that Kristen had asked her to keep away from Rachel for Rachel’s mental health.
“I can’t entirely disagree,” Sarah said. “But we also need to be mindful of Kristen’s motives,” Brady countered. Brady argued that Kristen was still jealous. “It’s not just Kristen who is concerned about whether or not we’re a thing. It’s Marlena and my mom and Xander,” Sarah said. Brady asked what Xander had said.
“He thinks that you and I are dating, or whatever you want to call it, just to get back at him,” Sarah said. Sarah noted that she thought Xander might have a point. “I am not seeing you to hurt him. But if one of the fringe benefits happens to be payback for all the pain he’s caused,” Sarah said with a shrug. Brady agreed. Brady added that his feelings for Sarah were about how great she was, not Xander. Brady and Sarah agreed that they loved to spend time with one another. Sarah noted that it would be good for Rachel to have a place to go to after Bayview that did not have Sarah and Victoria around. Brady agreed.

At Bayview, Belle met up with Kristen and Rachel to discuss the hearing. Rachel asked if EJ would be there. “No, he will not be,” Kristen snapped. Belle walked Rachel through the process and her testimony. Belle noted that she would do her best to make sure Kristen and Rachel went free. “Wait. I thought this was over,” Rachel said. Belle admitted that the judge needed to make a decision, but she believed the judge would accept the DA’s recommendation.
“Are you saying I could go to prison?” Rachel asked. “No, you are not going to prison. I can promise you that,” Belle said. Belle explained that she was confident that things would go well. Kristen asked Rachel to get her picture from the sunroom. While Rachel was out of the room, Kristen yelled at Belle for having upset Rachel. “Would you rather Rachel be blindsided in the hearing?” Belle asked. Belle argued that she could not promise that there would not be consequences for attempted murder.
“It was an accident!” Kristen yelled. When Kristen warned Belle not to let EJ into the hearing, Belle argued that the judge might need to hear from the victim. Kristen scoffed. As Kristen and Belle argued heatedly, Rachel returned to the room. Belle told Rachel she would see her soon, and she left.
“Did you make her leave?” Rachel asked Kristen. Kristen said no. As Kristen picked up Rachel’s stuffed snake, she saw a note underneath. “Wait until you hear from me,” Kristen read aloud. Kristen ordered Rachel to cut off communication with Sophia.

Xander met with Marlena at the penthouse. Marlena admitted she was upset about Xander’s actions because they had upset Brady and harmed John’s business. “I’m very sorry about that. And I understand why you won’t see me anymore,” Xander said. Marlena told Xander that she had decided to continue on as his therapist. Xander thanked Marlena profusely.
“I’ll be returning to my practice at the hospital, so I’ll no longer be seeing you here,” Marlena said. Marlena added that if Xander hurt another member of her family again, she would cease being his therapist and refuse to refer him to anyone else. Xander apologized for his behavior. “I just lost my temper and I snapped,” Xander said. Marlena noted that they would continue to work on Xander’s anger issues.
“Is there any point? I thought I was doing better, but obviously I’m not and likely never will be,” Xander said. Marlena noted that it had been one setback, and she asked Xander what had triggered his temper with Brady. Xander admitted that although he had been stressed, he had been triggered by the arrival of his final divorce decree.
“And I took that out on Brady. And for that, I really am so sorry,” Xander said. “You might be apologizing to the wrong person,” Marlena countered. Xander agreed that he should apologize to Brady, but that he was not sure he would accept it. “What’s important is that Brady knows that you’re sorry,” Marlena said. Marlena noted that although Brady was relieved to leave his job, it did not excuse Xander’s behavior.
“Is it possible you fired Brady because he was interested in Sarah?” Marlena asked. Xander noted that Sarah and Brady shared an attraction and that they shared a hatred of him. “So you think their motivation for getting together is based on a desire to punish you?” Marlena asked. Xander noted that he believed that was a part of their attraction. Marlena reminded Xander that Brady and Sarah’s relationship was not his business.
“Right now, you need to focus on being the best possible father you can to [Victoria],” Marlena said. Xander asked Marlena if he was a lost cause. “No, but I do think you need to find some way to separate yourself from Sarah,” Marlena said. Marlena encouraged Xander to take up boxing to blow off steam and fill his free time. Xander promised to work to get better and separate himself from Sarah emotionally.
