On the Tuesday, July 21, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Eli reunited with Lani, Julie and Foster talked things through, Lexie agreed to Kristen’s plan, and Gabi vowed to destroy Titan.
Reunions and Schemes

Lani delivered a bakery order to the Salem Inn and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Eli was the customer. “Happy Anniversary,” Eli said. Eli explained that he had been able to leave work early, and he had wanted to surprise Lani for their special day. After Eli told Lani about his most recent undercover operation, he gave her an amethyst necklace as a gift. After the couple made love, Lani said she needed to get back to the bakery to help with a big order, Eli pouted. Lani reminded Eli that they would have a lot more time together now that he was back in Salem.
Kristen met up with Lexie in the park, where they discussed Kristen’s plan to avoid EJ’s punishment. Kristen suggested that Lexie go to the family island in her place so that Lexie could die in isolation while Kristen escaped EJ’s wrath. When Lexie asked how, Kristen said that she had spoken to a loyal employee on the island, they had confirmed that the staff expected to receive a shipping container with EJ’s sister inside. Kristen said that she would use the opportunity to escape and plot her revenge. Lexie encouraged Kristen to run, but Kristen argued that EJ would find her if he knew she had escaped.
When Lexie asked Kristen about her long term plan, Kristen said she needed more time to counter EJ’s plot against her. Lexie asked Kristen how she had angered EJ. Kristen did not give details, but she said she regretted her actions. Lexie agreed to Kristen’s plan.
As Kristen walked through the square, she ran into Eli and Lani as they exited the Salem Inn. Eli left to handle a work call, and Kristen lamented that she had not spent more time with Lani over the years. Concerned, Lani asked Kristen if she was okay. Kristen lied and said she was fine. Kristen told Lani that she was grateful for her friendship. Kristen walked away as Eli returned. Worried, Lani told Eli that she was concerned that something was wrong with Kristen.
A Second Chance

Foster visited Julie at the bookstore and apologized for having missed the concert with her. When Foster invited Julie to join him for an Irving Berlin concert the next week, Julie declined. Julie explained that Berlin had been a favorite of hers and Doug. Foster said he felt the same way about the tulip festival because of his wife. When Julie suggested that Foster ask Marlena instead, Foster asked Julie if she was no longer interested in him. Julie said that dating was new to her, and she did not know how to act. Foster said he felt the same way and believed they needed to enjoy life for the time they had left.
Julie asked for more time. Foster told Julie that when she was ready to try again, they could go to trivia night or the tapas place. Julie agreed to call Foster when she was ready. While Foster stocked books, Julie called his cell phone. Foster smiled over at Julie from across the room.
Lexie went to the bookstore, and she leafed through a copy of a book about death. Julie noticed, and she remarked on how helpful the book had been to her after Doug had passed away. With tears in her eyes, Julie asked Lexie if she had seen heaven when she had died, and if it would be possible to see Doug again. Lexie admitted that she had no memory of her time away, and that she had been kept in stasis from death. Lexie assured Julie that she would be reunited with Doug again some day.
The Morality Clause

At Titan, Xander informed Philip that Stefano’s inheritance had been paid out. Gabi marched in and announced that she was rescinding her offer to give Titan a portion of her inheritance. When Philip asked why, Gabi explained that the company had violated the morality clause of their contract when they had sold counterfeit versions of Gabi Chic purses. Neither Xander nor Philip knew what Gabi was talking about. Gabi laid out her theory. Xander swore he had nothing to do with any counterfeit operation.
The conversation devolved into an argument between Philip and Gabi about whether they were over one another. In frustration, Gabi yelled that she would not give Titan any of Stefan’s money because one of them had authorized the counterfeit ring. Gabi argued that the operation was an unforgivable betrayal. “Now you know how I feel,” Philip said.
Xander argued that Gabi had no evidence to back up her claims, so she should look internally at her company. Gabi noted that the scheme had never happened before, and she had used the same staff and manufacturers for years. Gabi canceled her shipping contract with Titan based on the morality clause as well. Xander countered that Gabi had admitted to corporate espionage, so she did not have the moral high ground. Gabi threatened to sue them and drive their company into the ground. Xander reminded Gabi that the move would hurt Sonny.
“The only person you think about is yourself. No wonder your daughter isn’t talking to you,” Xander said. Gabi called Philip a loveshick fool, and she stomped out of the office. Xander and Philip turned to one another and blamed the other. When Philip asked Xander to come clean, Xander swore he had not authorized a counterfeit ring.
Xander and Philip both agreed that they believed the other one had not been involved in the scheme. Xander asked Philip to use Gabi’s feelings for him to convince her that they had not stolen her designs. When Philip refused, Xander argued that Philip needed to fix the problem or else Gabi would destroy them.
After Gabi left Titan, she walked through the square and lamented that she had ever trusted the Kiriakis brothers. Gabi called Gwen and left a voicemail saying she had found the source of the counterfeit goods.
Is Gwen also on DiMera Island? Is Kristen scheme a little too wacky? Sound off in the comments.
