On Days of our Lives for the week of July 6th through the 10th, 2026, Johnny tipped off Sarah, Holly improved, EJ covered his tracks, Gwen fought with Kristen, Joy called for help, Lexie hid her illness, Theo learned the truth about Stefano, Cat underwent hypnosis, Leo moved on, and Chanel made a startling connection for Johnny.
A Game of Cat and Mouse
After Cat admitted to Marlena that she was an ISA agent, she underwent hypnotherapy. Cat remembered that she had read to EJ in the clinic, and that she had bonded with him over their shared trauma at the hands of Clyde Weston. EJ had squeezed Cat’s hand when she had read to him, and Marlena noted that the memory was an emotional one for Cat.
Rafe threatened to shut down Cat’s investigation, so she accused him of acting out of jealousy. Rafe rejected the accusation, but he backed off of his threat. Cat told EJ that she had lied about hypnosis because she had been scared. Cat admitted she had since undergone hypnosis and that she had remembered kissing EJ at the clinic. EJ told Cat that she was worth waiting for.
EJ visited Johnny to talk about the Coriseal. Johnny confirmed he had left the medical book on Sarah’s desk to point her toward arsenic as the cause of Holly’s illness. Johnny was furious that EJ was more concerned about the company than Holly. EJ confirmed that the pills had been removed from Smith Island and would not be traced back to DiMera. EJ asked Johnny to keep the matter a secret from Theo. Johnny was opposed to the idea, but EJ argued that even if Johnny wanted to run an honest company, he would still need to reckon with its shady past.
Accusation Time
Sarah told Xander that she believed Holly had taken the tainted Coriseal. Sarah found the book on her desk and treated Holly for arsenic poisoning. Brady and Xander agreed to work together to take down EJ if he was responsible for the arsenic poisoning. Holly slowly started to improve.
Philip talked to Sarah about the source of the arsenic. When Philip threatened to make EJ pay, Sarah warned Philip to end the feud with the DiMeras. Brady confirmed to Sarah that there was no information on who had left the medical book on Sarah’s desk.
EJ doctored the water test results from the cabin so that Coriseal was not present. Brady questioned Tate about whether Holly was using drugs again. Holly insisted she was sober. Upset that no one believed her, Holly threw Sarah out of her hospital room. Tate told Holly he believed her when she said she was sober. Based on Holly and Destiny’s similar symptoms, Brady suggested to Sarah that EJ had tampered with the test results. After Johnny assured Brady that the records at DiMera were in order, Brady and Xander realized that Johnny was likely lying to protect EJ.
Cancer Answers?
When Chanel started to lose her hair, but Johnny surprised her with a variety of wigs that he had picked out with Lani and Paulina. When Johnny told Chanel about Holly’s diagnosis, Chanel reminded Johnny that arsenic was a carcinogen. Chanel pointed out that she had ingested water from the same well, and she had suffered through two bouts of cancer since.
Gwen fought with Kristen about her affair with Xander. Leo intervened to stop the physical altercation. As Leo struggled to separate the women, EJ jumped in to hold back Kristen, and he got a black eye. Over her workout with Tate, Gwen opened up to him about Kristen’s betrayal with Xander. Tate advised Gwen not to get into any more physical fights and said that he understood why she had attacked Kristen.
Javi checked on Leo when he saw him at the pub. Leo complained of head pain, and he swooned from a dizzy spell. Javi accused Leo of faking his symptoms to get his attention, but Javi swore he was truly ill. Javi advised Leo to move on. Leo finally removed his wedding ring.
Joy called Alex for help with a flat tire, which annoyed Stephanie. Stephanie and Chanel commiserated about their shared annoyance with Joy’s drama. Joy promised Alex that she would only call him about emergencies that involved Kelsey in the future. Stephanie and Alex later argued about Joy’s interference in their lives.
Alex talked to Bonnie, who advised Alex to cherish the moments with his wife and child. Philip checked on Stephanie, and she refused to dredge up the past or be a victim. Alex agreed to be open to Stephanie’s concerns about Joy using Kelsey to drive a wedge between them. When Joy called about another car incident, Stephanie deleted the voicemail. Joy finally got a hold of Alex, and she told him that she had been in a car accident with Kelsey.
More DiMera Problems
Lexie yelled at EJ for pursuing an experimental treatment on her for money, without regard to the consequences if the treatment should fail. EJ asked Lexie not to give up hope that Rolf could save her. Theo interrupted the heated conversation, but Lexie lied to Theo, and she said she was fine. Rita confronted EJ about how he had failed Lexie and about his attack plans for each of his siblings and Theo. EJ argued that everything was necessary.
Brady informed Kristen that Rachel was about to be released from Bayview, and Kristen objected because of EJ. Brady questioned Kristen about her fear of EJ and if Rachel was in danger. Kristen told Brady that she would handle EJ, and that Brady did not need to worry.
Kristen told Theo she was worried about EJ attempting to hurt Rachel. Kristen asked Theo to tell her if EJ mentioned Rachel. When Kristen complained that EJ was just as evil as their father, Theo defended Stefano. An upset Kristen accidentally let slip that Stefano had been responsible for Lexie’s cancer.

Theo confronted Lexie about having kept the secret. When Theo asked Abe if there were any more secrets, he said no rather than tell him about his deal with EJ. After Theo left, Lexie pushed Abe to tell her the truth. Abe told Lexie about his deal with EJ to remove Theo from DiMera Enterprises. Abe informed Paulina that their marriage license had been revoked. Paulina gave her wedding ring to Theo to give to Abe.
Gabi asked Theo not to tell EJ about her plan for Stefan’s inheritance. Though Theo yelled at Gabi once again for having doubted him, he agreed to keep Gabi’s plan secret from EJ. Xander and Philip told Alex of their intention to use Gabi’s money to keep Titan afloat, but Alex suggested that they should let him take over as CEO instead. Xander and Philip refused.
