Days of our Lives Recap June 15 to 19: A Key, a Lawsuit, an Offer, and a Realization

On Days of our Lives, the week of June 15 to 19, 2026, Cat asked EJ to take things slowly, Chad helped Belle, Brady tracked down Liam, Julie was conflicted about Foster, Alex told Stephanie about Joy’s demands, Holly fell ill, Xander apologized, Gabi asked for shares in Titan, Salem celebrated Juneteenth, and EJ realized Kristen had helped Sophia.

All About Cat

As EJ and Cat kissed on his couch, they spotted Chad and Belle on the TV kissing at the baseball game. EJ and Cat pretended that they were not affected by the sight, but when EJ suggested they move to his bedroom, Cat declined. EJ agreed to follow Cat’s lead. Later, EJ gleefully told Chad that he had seen him on tv at the baseball game while he had been kissing Cat. Chad warned EJ not to hurt Cat. EJ claimed to be a gentleman, but Chad appeared unconvinced.

Cat pressed Mark about EJ’s decision to keep the drug from their mother. Mark agreed with EJ’s decision. When Mark avoided the subject, Cat grew suspicious. Cat told Rafe that EJ had changed his mind about the drug, so she guessed it was because there was an issue with the medication. Cat wanted to pursue a personal relationship with EJ to maintain contact. Rafe was adamantly opposed.

EJ told Marlena that he and Cat had seen Chad and Belle kiss on TV. EJ argued that the kiss had been a sign that he should move on with Cat. Before EJ left, he mentioned Stefano’s chess set, but Marlena declined to talk about any gifts from Stefano again.

Belle asked Chad for help with the chess set. Belle shared her concern that the message from Stefano could put Marlena in danger, so Chad agreed to help decode it for Marlena’s sake. Chad asked Theo for help. Theo realized that he had played with the box as a child and opened up a hidden compartment that contained a key. Chad found a keyhole and called Belle to tell her that he knew how to open the box.

While Julie and Marlena discussed a book at Marlena’s penthouse, Marlena kept her eyes on the baseball game on TV. Marlena explained that it helped her feel closer to John. The shot of Belle and Chad sharing a kiss on the kiss cam at the ball game surprised Marlena. Julie said she was relieved that Chad was happy with someone new, and that that person was not Cat.

Although Marlena agreed that she was happy to see Belle move on from EJ with Chad, she defended Cat to Julie. Marlena asked Julie about Foster. Julie confessed that the date had felt like she had betrayed Doug’s memory. Marlena stressed that Doug would want Julie to be happy. Julie admitted that Foster had helped her feel less alone.

Stephanie talked to Marlena in therapy about her shame and trauma. Alex asked Kayla for advice about how to tell Stephanie that Joy had forbidden Stephanie from interacting with Kelsey. Alex broke the news to Stephanie.

Leo visited the Hernandez house, but Gabi shooed him away. Leo talked to Marlena about his fears for Gwen’s safety because of the hospital sale. Marlena argued that Leo was also in danger, and she said she worried about him.

Holly started anti-depressant medication after her first therapy session and her mood greatly improved. Holly, Ari, Aaron, and Tate went out to Smith Island for a mini trip. Holly was nauseated by the new meds while at the cabin. A process server found Holly on the island, and he served her with papers for a civil lawsuit from Amy Choi. Holly grew more distant as the night wore on and fainted in Tate’s arms.

Brady and Sarah concluded that the trace amounts of a drug in the bodies of Destiny and her sister played a part in their deaths. Out of a fear for other victims, Sarah reached out to the local medical community. Brady confirmed that one of the manufacturers of the drug was DiMera Pharmaceuticals. After Brady learned that Liam had left town flush with cash, he and Sarah decided to drive to Brooksville to question Liam about Destiny’s death.

Kate told Alex about her part in the plagiarism scheme. Still on the outs with Roman, Kate asked Marlena if she had been badmouthing her to Roman. Marlena told Kate that she hoped her marriage would survive the rift over the lawsuit.

Xander apologized to Johnny. EJ wanted to go after Kate and Xander, but Johnny begged him to drop it so that he could focus on Chanel. Theo interrupted the father and son conversation and Johnny asked Theo to be co-CEO with him. EJ objected, but Johnny and Theo shook hands in agreement, to EJ’s horror. Theo told EJ that he would not fight Gabi over Stefan’s inheritance.

Xander advised Philip to let go of his anger toward his ex. Philip refused to take money from Gabi despite Xander’s pleas. Gabi announced that she had a way to convince Philip that she was not giving him money out of guilt. Gabi told Xander that the price for her money was shares in the company and a seat on the board. Xander agreed.

Abe wished Paulina a Happy Anniversary on Juneteenth. When Abe told Paulina he loved her, she asked him not to tempt her because Abe belonged with Lexie. Rolf gave Lexie more of the drug to help with her symptoms and she immediately improved. Abe refused to attend the Juneteenth event with Lexie, but Lexie argued that the celebration was too important to miss. Once there, the tension between Paulina and Lexie escalated, and Lani took notice. Lexie invited Abe to move into the master bedroom with her.

Johnny and Chanel had a frank discussion about how her body could change after the treatment for her cancer before she had a port surgically installed. Paulina urged Johnny to talk to EJ about his miracle drug. Chanel argued that she did not want an experimental treatment, or to owe EJ a favor. Despite Chanel’s argument, Johnny did ask EJ about the drug. EJ made the same argument as Chanel, and Johnny agreed.

Kristen told Johnny that she was relieved that he had survived Sophia’s attack. Johnny told Kristen about Chanel’s cancer treatment. After hearing the news, Kristen changed her focus to Sydney. When Lani stopped by to deliver a stuffed narwhal from the aquarium, EJ overheard Lani mention that Kristen had known about the trip.

EJ visited Johnny, who told him about the untraceable gun that Sophia had brandished but did not use. When Johnny mentioned that Sophia had known about the aquarium trip, EJ remembered that Kristen had known about the trip. EJ raced home to confront his sister.
