Days of our Lives Recap June 18: Kristen Places a Phone Call To Sydney DiMera

Kristen stepped up her plan by reaching out to EJ's daughter, Holly got a shock, and Paulina celebrated a bittersweet memory on the Days of our Lives episode that aired on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

You've Been Served

Tate and Holly smooched at the cabin. She recalled how they made love at the cabin a year ago. Tate said it was terrible that Sophia was gone, but that Holly deserved to be happy. Holly thanked her beau and said that she was hungry. He left to whip up a surprise. Tate returned with food, but Holly went running out of the room.

Holly returned and apologized for leaving abruptly. Tate said that she didn't have a fever. Holly pointed out that feeling sick to her stomach was a side effect of her medicine. Holly woke up from a really nice dream. She kissed Tate.

Tate answered a knock at the door, and a mystery man asked to see Holly. She came to the door, and he handed her a document, telling her that she'd been served. Holly opened the document. She shared with Tate that Amy Choi was suing for her damages over Sophia's death!

Dr. Feel Good

Kayla called Lexie, wanting to know why she'd canceled her appointment. Lexie claimed something had come up with her family, and she'd reschedule tomorrow. Meanwhile, Dr. Rolf told EJ that he made adjustments to the drug that brought Lexie back from the dead. Next, a distraught Lexie entered, very weak, asking Dr. Rolf and EJ for help. The doctor assured Lexie that she'd be just as good as new in no time.

After EJ left, Lexie asked Rolf if his cocktail injection was her best bet to stay alive. He assured her it was. Lexie said that she was ready, and Rolf started to inject her.

The Way We Were

Paulina was surprised to see Abe, holding flowers, at Horton Square. He wished her a happy anniversary. Paulina told Abe that she'd been looking through their wedding album. Abe said it was a joyous day. Paulina said that Chanel was having her port put in today, and that Chanel insisted her mom speak at the Juneteenth event. Then, Abe flashed back to his vows with Paulina.

Abe apologized for not keeping in better touch with Paulina. He told her that he loved her. She asked him not to say things like that. Paulina said that she'd been driving herself crazy as she wondered if she should fight for Abe. "I know in my heart what your choice must be," Paulina told Abe. She thanked him for the flowers and then left.

Theo and Lani visited Chanel. She explained that she had to fast because she was having surgery. Chanel wondered how she'd gotten so lucky because she couldn't get through this without them. Theo, Lani, and Chanel shared a group embrace. Lani encouraged Chanel to think about herself and to not worry about Paulina. Chanel left for the hospital.

Lani showed Theo some stuffed animals that she got at the aquarium for Trey, and also one for Rachel. Lani explained to Theo that she and Kristen were close, having bonded at the convent. Theo revealed there was another war going on with the DiMera siblings, but he wasn't sure what it was about -- just that Kristen and EJ weren't getting along.

Lani reminded Theo that EJ refused to use his miracle drug on Chanel. Theo cautioned they didn't know how the drug would work in the long term. Chanel said that she wouldn't know what the drug could do to the baby, so she wouldn't take it anyway. Lani asked Theo how he was doing.

Kristen bumped into Johnny. She thanked God that Johnny had survived his ordeal. Then, Kristen had a flashback to an encounter with EJ in which EJ threatened Kristen if Johnny were harmed again. Back to Johnny, Kristen wondered what was going through Sophia's head when she tried to hurt Johnny. Johnny nodded that he was glad she could never hurt him again.

Johnny pointed out that Sophia's hate wasn't unjustified, as he and Chanel backed out of adopting her baby. Kristen said that Johnny sounded like a forgiving person. He said having a family changes a person. Johnny added that Sophia is the reason he and Chanel get to be parents, as she's Trey's biological mother.

Kristen noticed the flowers that Johnny had bought for Chanel. He informed her that Chanel was having surgery, and she has breast cancer. Johnny commented that EJ has offered to help. Kristen called her brother a manipulator. She said that Johnny was right when he cut EJ out of his life. Her phone rang, and Kristen excused herself from the table.

At the hospital, Kayla asked Johnny and Chanel if they had any last questions. Kayla said that they could wait till Paulina arrived. Chanel said that wouldn't be necessary. Next, Paulina arrived. She told Johnny that she'd run into Abe. Paulina was surprised that Johnny remembered it was her anniversary. Paulina and Johnny embraced.

During the procedure, Chanel said that she hoped she'd get to watch her baby, maybe a daughter, grow up. Later, Chanel and Johnny left the hospital following her procedure. Paulina thanked Kayla. She said that Johnny and Chanel were family, and so was Paulina.

Paulina thanked Kayla for thinking of her as family. Kayla said it's not a question of caring about Paulina or Lexie. Kayla offered to go to the Juneteenth celebration.

At the DiMera mansion, Kristen and EJ exchanged terse words when Lexie arrived. She excused herself to return to Abe. Kristen quipped to EJ that his miracle drug that brought Lexie back could do more harm than good. He quipped that Kristen could become a candidate for the drug one of these days.

EJ tried to leave, but Kristen wanted to know why he hadn't told her that Chanel had cancer. EJ and Kristen traded more quips. He told her to give his best to Rachel.

Lexie told Abe that she was visiting her brother and sister. She asked if they could go to a Juneteenth event as she'd never been to one before. Abe told Lexie that he couldn't go to the event.

Chanel and Johnny returned home, and they thanked Theo and Lani for watching Trey. After the babysitters left, Chanel said that she was actually looking forward to starting chemo so that she could get well and be there for their family. Johnny said they were counting on that. Chanel said she could handle anything.

Back at Rolf's lab, he shared with EJ that he couldn't be happier about Lexie's progress. Meanwhile, Kristen had a phone call with her niece, Sydney, Sami's daughter with EJ!
