On the Friday, June 19, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Holly grows faint, Chad finds a clue, EJ has a horrible realization, and Salem celebrates Juneteenth.
Spoiled Vacation

From the Horton cabin, Holly called EJ about the lawsuit, so he promised to deal with Amy. Holly told Tate that EJ had advised her not to think about the lawsuit until after their trip. When Aaron and Ari returned, Holly stepped into the bedroom.
Ari noticed the legal papers on the desk, so Tate told them about the visit from the process server. Tate asked Aaron and Ari to help him keep Holly’s mind off of the lawsuit while they enjoyed their vacation at the cabin.
Aaron accidentally knocked their dinner into the campfire, so the foursome had s’mores for dinner. As Aaron told a scary story about a creature in the water, Holly grew pale. Tate intervened and suggested they turn in for the night. As they stood up, Holly passed out in Tate’s arms.
Play the Game

At the pub, Theo met up with Chad to discuss the chess set Stefano had left for Marlena. Chad explained that if Stefano had a message for Marlena, he wanted to know what it was so that they could protect Marlena if needed.
Theo realized that the box reminded him of one he had played with as a child. Theo felt around, and he triggered a hidden mechanism to open a compartment in the box. Inside was a key, but neither man knew what the key opened. After Theo left for the holiday celebration, Chad felt around the box until he discovered a keyhole. Chad unlocked the box, but he called Belle before he opened it.
Juneteenth

In the square, Abe introduced Lexie to Eli, who told Lexie that he needed to ask her questions about her Dr. Rolf’s whereabouts. Lexie admitted that she knew that Rolf was involved with her treatment. Abe stressed that Lexie could not help. Lexie promised to tell Eli if she heard from Rolf.
Concerned, Abe asked Lexie if she had seen Dr. Rolf since she had woken up. Lexie told Abe that EJ had admitted that Rolf was monitoring her progress, but that she did not know where Rolf was located. Abe told Lexie that he supported whatever it took to keep her with her family.
Eli later met up with Lani and Paulina in the square. Paulina admitted that she was nervous because she could not stop thinking about Chanel or her anniversary. Lexie overheard as she approached with Abe. Lexie admitted she had not known that Juneteenth was Abe and Paulina’s anniversary. As Paulina and Abe awkwardly started to talk, Lexie curtly said that Paulina was needed at the microphone.
Paulina took the stage. “Juneteenth is a very special and important day for many reasons,” Paulina said as she stared at Abe. Lexie looked at Abe as he locked eyes with Paulina. Paulina continued her speech, and she talked about the importance of remembering the ancestors and celebrating hope for the future. When Paulina noted that change was not easy, Lexie slipped her hand into Abe’s.
After the speech, Theo, Abe, and Lexie complemented Paulina. “I hope my message was clear. Although we may face hardships, that doesn’t mean that we will stop fighting,” Paulina said.
“What moved me most about your speech was the part about rebirth, reclaiming our identity,” Lexie said. Paulina and Lexie narrowed their eyes at one another. While staring at Lexie, Paulina thanked Abe for the anniversary flowers he had given her. Abe wished Paulina a good night, and he left with Lexie. Theo started to speak, but Paulina insisted she was fine.
Across the square, Lexie told Abe that she did not mind the flowers, but that she did not think Abe should give Paulina false hope. Abe agreed. As Abe and Lexie started for home, Lexie told him that she thought he should move back into the master bedroom.
After the celebration, Eli and Lani were getting ready for bed and talked about the tension between Lexie and Paulina. Lani complained that Lexie was flaunting her relationship with Abe in Paulina’s face. By the time Lani joined Eli in bed, he was half asleep. As Eli realized that Lani was in lingerie, he opened his eyes wide and kissed her.
Piece by Piece

In the DiMera living room, EJ and Lani were talking about Chanel when Kristen walked in. Lani presented a stuffed narwhal to Kristen. When Kristen had a puzzled look on her face, Lani reminded Kristen that she had requested it when Lani had told her about the aquarium trip. Kristen told Lani that Rachel was miserable. Kristen added that the doctors had confirmed that Rachel was better, but she still hated that Rachel was isolated from her family and friends.
“It’s like someone ripped a piece of me away,” Kristen growled as she stared at EJ. EJ walked out. Kristen and Lani chatted about Lani’s living situation and Paulina. Lani admitted that they were all happy that Lexie was alive, but that the timing of her return had been at the worst possible moment. Kristen told Lani that she had been sorry to hear about Chanel’s diagnosis.
After Lani mentioned that Eli wanted to talk to Lexie about Dr. Rolf, Kristen asked Lani if she was there to do the same. Lani said she wanted to see her friend, but she also wanted to help Eli bring Rolf to justice. Kristen said she would be happy to hurt EJ, but that she would not do anything that would endanger Lexie’s life. Kristen noted that EJ would learn that he could not push her too far.
At Johnny’s apartment, he doted on Trey as Chanel slept in the bedroom. Johnny asked Trey not to take his first steps unless Chanel was there to witness it. “It’s up to us to keep her smiling, okay?” Johnny said as he choked back tears. When EJ stopped by, he pushed Johnny to open up. Johnny admitted that he was terrified. EJ apologized again for being unable to offer Rolf’s drug, but Johnny said he understood. EJ stressed that nothing in the world was more important to him than family.
EJ told Johnny about Amy’s lawsuit. When EJ grumbled about suing Amy for Sophia’s actions, Johnny reminded EJ that he did not want that. Johnny told EJ about Sophia’s gun and he wondered aloud why Sophia had made an effort to obtain an untraceable gun if she did not intend to use it. As Johnny talked about his memories, he noted that Sophia had known about Chanel’s aquarium trip.
“Either she overheard us, or someone told her,” Johnny said. EJ thought about Lani and Kristen’s conversation about the aquarium trip. EJ rushed out of the apartment. When EJ arrived home, Kristen was preparing to leave the house. EJ screamed at Kristen, “You are not going anywhere!”
