In today’s Days of our Lives recap for June 24, 2026, Theo rejected Gabi’s overtures of friendship, Tate was alarmed by Holly’s rapid deterioration, and Sarah and Brady tracked down Liam, who reunited with Ari.
Gabi Gives Theo Food for Thought

At The DiMera offices, Gabi dropped off a gift for Theo. Refusing to open the present, Theo demanded to know why Gabi was really there. She admitted she had wanted to find out the status of Stefan's inheritance shares. Theo wondered why Gabi was so eager for the money, considering Gabi Chic was doing just fine. In the interest of full disclosure, Gabi told Theo about her plan to give a portion of her inheritance to Philip and Xander so Titan (which she had helped send into a tailspin) could be saved. The news made Theo irate.
Theo blasted Gabi for using his willingness to help her and to stand up to his family on her behalf against him. She had once again manipulated him to achieve her own selfish ends, while helping DiMera’s competition in the process. Gabi swore she did care about Theo and did value his friendship. Theo angrily retorted they weren’t friends, and he didn’t accept her apology. She would never be a DiMera – only a “traitor” who had shown her true colors when she’d reacted so badly to Theo’s appointment as CEO.
Gabi defended her reaction and stressed it had nothing to do with Theo’s autism. She had been hurt by Tony’s betrayal and had truly believed Theo lacked the experience. But she now knew differently. Still seething, Theo mused that Gabi reminded him of his ex-fiancee, Claire, who had vowed her own love for and allegiance to him while betraying him behind his back. Theo would never be fooled that way again. He ordered Gabi to leave and to stay out of his life.
Gabi complied, but not before pledging to Theo that she would always treat him fairly in business when she took a seat on the board at Titan. Theo tried to simmer down in the wake of Gabi’s departure. He reluctantly opened her gift. It was a book inscribed with a thoughtful note and quotation about Theo: "To be great is to be misunderstood. – Ralph Waldo Emerson.” The signature read, “You really are an exceptional friend. Fondly, Gabi.”
Cabin Fever
At the Horton cabin, Tate worried about Holly, who was sleeping on the couch. When Ari and Aaron returned, the friends pondered what could have caused Holly’s sickness. Aaron not-so-subtly reminded Tate of how close Holly and he had been during the getaway, so the illness likely wasn’t contagious. And if it was food poisoning, someone else probably would have gotten sick.
As the trio was weighing whether or not to take Holly to the hospital, Holly roused and insisted she was only experiencing side effects from the drugs she had been prescribed. To prove she was fine, she tried to stand but quickly collapsed unconscious onto the couch. Tate rushed to her side and got Aaron’s help to lift Holly so they could take her to the ferry.
Medical Detectives

In a park outside of Salem, Brady and Sarah finally found Liam. The couple quickly explained that Liam’s brother – whom Sarah had previously known because her sister had been his stepmother — had provided them his location. Liam was confused by the sudden arrival and asked if the visit concerned his son or a possible medical bill. Sarah clarified that Brady and she wanted more information about his ex-girlfriend, Clea, and her death. Liam tensed, but Sarah assured him he wasn’t under suspicion.
After Liam learned that Clea’s sister Destiny had also died, he was shocked and more willing to help. He informed Sarah and Brady that Clea had been struggling with drugs; at the time, he had been involved in a gang, which only deepened the friction between them. On the night of Clea’s death, Liam had implored her to attend a meeting for addicts. Clea had instead gone to score pills outside a convenience store. When Liam had next seen his girlfriend, she was in a bad state and had complained of light-headedness and nausea; before Liam could comprehend what was happening, Clea was dead.
Sarah and Brady shared a look, since the symptoms echoed Destiny’s symptoms. They asked Liam if he knew anything more about the pills Clea had taken, but he didn’t, and he swore he’d had no involvement with the drugs. Sarah’s suggestion that Clea’s death might not have been caused by an overdose after all stunned Liam, and he wanted to know who had been responsible for taking his son’s mother away from them.
The conversation was interrupted when Sarah got a panicked call from Ari summoning her to the hospital. Liam’s ears perked up at the mention of Ari’s name.
The Doctor is In

Later, at the hospital, Brady and Sarah raced to meet Tate, Ari, and Aaron. After Sarah got the basics, she went to Holly’s room. Ari lamented lying about Tate and Aaron’s presence at the cabin, and Brady told the teens Sarah’s focus was elsewhere. As Aaron and Ari left to go on a coffee run, Ari spotted Liam peering around a corner. Brady stayed with Tate and comforted his son the best he could.
Meanwhile, in Holly’s room, Sarah examined her now-conscious niece. Holly profusely apologized for omitting details about the guests on her and Ari’s girls’ trip. Sarah understood, but she pleaded with Holly for full disclosure from that point forward. Holly laid out the events at the cabin and expressed puzzlement as to why she had gotten so sick; she worried something was really wrong. Sarah promised her they would get to the bottom of it.
Following the examination, Sarah returned to the waiting area and allowed Tate to visit Holly. She lightly scolded Brady for keeping the truth about Tate’s stay at the cabin from her, but she confided a big part of her was relieved that Tate and Aaron had been there to help Holly, especially after Holly and Ari’s kidnappings the previous year. Sarah had decided to hold off on contacting Nicole and Eric until tests had been done.
Both Sarah and Brady agreed that they believed Liam’s story about Clea, although Brady still found it suspicious that Liam had suddenly split town. The conversation had convinced Sarah more than ever that something was amiss.
Kisses and Chaos

In Horton Town Square, Ari cornered Liam before he could make a getaway. She asked him why he had been at the hospital. At first, Liam tried to claim he had come back to town to visit someone. Eventually, he confessed that his son’s doctor had wanted to question him about a matter he couldn’t talk about. He’d overheard Sarah’s phone call and had been concerned about Ari, which was why she had seen him at the hospital.
Ari was pleased that Liam was thinking about her; she explained the call had been about her friend, who was recovering. Ari then confronted Liam about his abrupt departure and his ghosting of her. Liam would only say an opportunity had come his way that he couldn’t pass up. Disappointed, Ari asked if it was goodbye between them. Liam acknowledged it was, but he wanted to give Ari a “proper goodbye.”
As Ari and Liam leaned in for a kiss right in the middle of the square, Aaron emerged from Sweet Bits with coffee. He had a ringside seat for the smooch and seemed crushed. On the other end of the square, the second witness to the impromptu kiss, Gabi, practically had steam coming out of her ears.
Back at the hospital, Tate and Holly were sharing a warm moment until she began shaking and seizing. While her monitors blared, Tate ran off to retrieve Sarah. As Sarah worked on her niece, the memory of finding Holly after she had overdosed on laced fentanyl haunted Tate. Meanwhile, Sarah was able to stabilize Holly and stood vigil by her bedside. Growing emotional, Sarah reaffirmed her pledge to find answers for Holly.
