Days of our Lives Recap June 8 to 12: Shots Fired, Kisses Engaged, and Lives on the Line

Days of our Lives fans saw quite a bit of action during the week of June 8 to 12, 2026. Stephanie shot at Joy, Brady helped Sarah investigate a patient, Amy refused to give up on justice, Gabi had demands, Gwen was suspicious, Kate told Roman the truth, Chanel started cancer treatment, and Joy gave Alex an ultimatum.

Sarah asked Brady for help investigating her patient who mysteriously died. Brady agreed to pull police reports and look into the deaths of Destiny and her sister. Ari overheard Sarah talking to Brady about Destiny and her relation to Liam. Ari asked Brady to let her know if they found Liam so she could return something of his.

Gabi told Ari that she had declined the CEO position at DiMera because of Philip. Kate overheard, and she called Gabi a backstabbing bitch. Gabi admitted that she regretted her decision and wished she could undo her actions. Gabi’s admission convinced Kate to tell Roman the truth before he heard about the lawsuit from someone else.

Ari asked Gabi about Theo, so Gabi admitted that Theo had not ratted her out, but they were no longer on speaking terms. Gabi was furious to learn that Kate had asked Ari to keep her ears open for news at Ari’s DiMera internship. Gabi warned Ari not to say a word.

Back From China and Grabbing a Gun

Stephanie returned early from China, surpring Alex at home. When Joy stopped by to look for Kelsey’s favorite stuffed animal, Alex and Stephanie gave Joy a key. Joy promised to knock and call before she would use the key. While Stephanie was taking a nap, Joy knocked on the door because she had left her phone. When no one answered, Joy used her key. Groggy from jetlag and fearful of an intruder, Stephanie grabbed her gun and fired it at the front door. Fortunately, Stephanie missed Joy.

Jada and Shawn questioned Stephanie, Alex, and Joy about the incident. Stephanie asked Jada to take her gun and admitted she had been reckless. Belle decided not to press charges. When Alex asked Joy if she still intended to file a complaint, Joy said yes. Joy told Alex that she would only drop the charges if Alex agreed to keep Stephanie away from Kelsey. Alex agreed. Stephanie had a nightmare that she killed Joy, but Steve and Kayla comforted her. Stephanie admitted that she needed help, and that she no longer felt safe with a gun in the house.

Javi told Leo that Gus had accepted a job at the fire station and was staying in Salem. Leo continued to worry about Gwen. Gwen assured Leo that she had enough leverage on EJ to stay safe. Gwen told Leo about her plan to buy the hospital. For protection, Gwen signed up for self-defense classes at Tate's new gym.

EJ and Gabi spotted Kristen and Xander cozying up to one another before they entered the Salem Inn together. Gabi refused to cross Xander and tell Gwen about the affair. When Gwen and EJ talked later, he told her about Xander and Kristen. Gwen went to Kristen’s hotel room to confront her, but Kristen and Xander had already had sex and gotten dressed. Kristen lied and said that they had been having a private business meeting. Gwen told Leo about the confrontation, and her reservations about believing Kristen’s story.

Amy asked Melinda to help her sue Holly. Melinda noted that when she had pursued justice against Kristen, it had not helped her get over her daughter’s death. Amy refused to give up on justice for Sophia. Amy warned Holly that she was not done with her.

When Holly ran into EJ and told him about her run-in with Amy, EJ promised to handle Amy on Holly’s behalf. Xander interrupted Holly’s conversation with EJ. Holly told Sarah about the interaction, and Holly noticed that Sarah had warmed up to Xander. Sarah stressed that things were over with Xander. Sarah urged Holly and Ari to spend a couple days at the cabin to relax.

Xander told Theo that he was dropping the lawsuit against DiMera, but would not say why. Xander admitted that he owed Johnny an apology and would not say more. When Johnny arrived at work, Theo said he was happy to run the company with Johnny temporarily. Johnny and Theo agreed that they would like to change the legacy of the company together.

Although EJ wanted to fight Gabi over Stefan’s inheritance, Theo met with Gabi, and he told her that she would get it. Theo noted that the upside of the decision was that he did not have to be around Gabi in court. Philip told Xander that if he accepted Gabi’s money, he would quit. Xander asked Kate to talk sense into Philip and his wounded ego. Kate warned Philip to get over himself and honor the sacrifices they had made to protect Philip and the family.

Kate asked Xander why he had decided to tell Johnny the truth. Xander told Kate that as part of his therapy, he needed to take responsibility for when he abused power. Gabi told Xander he could have her money, but she had a list of demands. Kate came clean with Roman about her part in the plagiarism lawsuit. Roman was annoyed that Kate had only told the truth because Xander had confessed. Roman called Marlena for advice.

Baseball Time and More

Chanel had a good meeting with her new oncologist and decided to go ahead with the cancer treatment. Chanel was disappointed that she could not breastfeed her new baby and that she would have limited interactions with Trey during treatment. Paulina argued that it was more important for Chanel’s kids to have their mother than lose a few weeks of bonding.

Rolf examined Lexie, and he confirmed she was regressing. Lexie agreed to do whatever it took to restore her health. Lexie told EJ that Rolf had confirmed that she possibly only had a few weeks to live. When Paulina asked EJ for his miracle drug for Chanel, he refused. EJ did not tell Paulina about Lexie’s downturn. When EJ told Cat about Chanel’s diagnosis, she also suggested that EJ should use the drug on Chanel. EJ argued that the only way forward was to let the FDA study the drug rather than do any trials on living patients. EJ apologized to Cat for being unable to help her mother. Cat and EJ watched the baseball game together and she kissed him.

Chad and Belle took his kids to Chicago to see a Cubs game. In Salem, Shawn and Jada met up at Little Bar. Jada noted that there was a loophole that they could use to date, and Shawn and Jada agreed to enter a relationship. After a kiss to seal the deal, Shawn and Jada saw Chad and Belle on TV kissing for the kiss cam.
