Steve and Brady took Owen down to the police station, where they learned that Stephanie had been rescued. Steve noticed that Owen had a connection with Brady, so he asked Brady to talk to Owen while he went to see Stephanie.

Dimitri found a real estate listing for a house in Alamainia that appeared to be the place he had been held captive. Because Dimitri could not show his face on the property, he called Andrew and convinced him to search the house for evidence of Dimitri’s link to Peter Blake. Gwen heard about the search and ordered someone to handle it.

After Cat kissed EJ, she told him that she remembered they had previously kissed in Italy. EJ asked for details, but Cat was unable to say more. Rolf texted EJ to tell him Lexie had been moved. Rafe questioned EJ about why Stephanie had been in his lab. Rafe arrested EJ. Gwen was alarmed to hear bout the empty pod.

Belle interrogated EJ about Stephanie’s kidnapping. Belle explained that although EJ had been exonerated, his lab work was still under scrutiny. Belle released EJ. Gwen told EJ that the ISA had found a witness who said Dimitri had been held captive. EJ hinted to Gwen that he had made Vivian disappear. EJ screamed at Gwen because her revenge scheme was unraveling and could implicate him in her crimes.

Holly talked to Sarah about her mood swings. Sarah suggested that Holly talk to her doctor about her birth control and take a break from her vitamin supplements to see how her body reacted. Holly and Ari argued about the sorority. Ari told Holly that she did not appreciate how Holly had been treating her. She demanded that one of them move out, so Holly packed her bags.

Holly’s doctor changed her birth control prescription and ran some blood work. Sarah told Holly that she was proud of her for working to figure out her anger issues. Rachel gave the tainted vitamins from Sophia to Tate to give to Holly as a thank-you gift. When Tate complained to Holly about his own acne, Holly told him to keep the vitamins from Rachel since she had more bottles at home.

Philip formally introduced himself to Gwen in the square, and she was openly hostile to him. Philip confided to Gabi that Titan’s fall had been his fault. Gabi started to confess to her part in exposing Philip’s fraudulent letter, but she stopped when she saw an upset Ari in the square. Ari told Gabi about her fight with Holly. Gabi told Ari she had done the right thing to stick up for herself. Gabi did not confess to Philip.

Sarah second-guessed her decision to give visitation rights to Xander. Sarah confided to Maggie that she still saw Xander’s anger bubbling just beneath the surface and was concerned that he had not changed. Despite her misgivings, Sarah decided that it was the right thing to do to offer visitation rights to Xander.

At the Alamainian hotel, Dimitri tackled Leo to the ground before a gunshot shattered the window to the room. Leo suffered a concussion, but Andrew’s team took out the shooter. Andrew informed Dimitri that there was evidence to exonerate Dimitri for conspiring with Peter Blake. While Dimitri and Leo celebrated that they could return to Salem, Andrew said there was a problem. Andrew told Dimitri that he was the prime suspect in Vivian and Ivan’s disappearance. The effects of Leo’s concussion got worse, so Andrew promised to escort Leo back to the US for treatment. Dimitri stayed behind.

JJ told Theo that he made him a better cop. While at the pub, Theo ran into Liam. Liam apologized again to Theo. Theo argued that even if Liam had been ignorant of the DiMera job, he should have confessed sooner. Theo told Liam to do better for his son’s sake.

Klaus intercepted Liam in the park and held him at gunpoint. JJ intervened. Klaus shot Liam in the arm. JJ froze as he thought about when he had shot Theo. Before Klaus could kill JJ, Shawn arrived on the scene. Shawn and Klaus shot one another. Although Klaus died, Shawn survived a bullet to the leg. Shawn asked JJ why he had hesitated to shoot Klaus. Shawn and JJ each took a share of the blame, but Shawn did not tell Jada about JJ’s hesitation. Meanwhile, Ari hid Liam in her dorm room.
