Days of our Lives Recap, May 11-15, 2026: Back to life and plotting death

Here is what happened on Days of our Lives, Monday, May 11, 2026, to Friday, May 15, 2026, when Lexie was brought up to speed on the life that had passed her by, Paulina obsessed over the end of her marriage, Amy continued to blame Holly for Sophia’s actions, EJ asked Marlena to help him recover his Italy memories, Gabi and Ari had a blow out, Leo moped, Chanel had her biopsy, and Kristen asked Xander to murder EJ.

Complications of the newly living

A back-from-the-dead Lexie crashed Stefano’s will-reading when she stumbled out of the living room entrance to the tunnels. Kristen was suspicious about whether the woman was Lexie. Tony eagerly welcomed his sister back to the fold. When Lexie passed out, she was rushed to the hospital. Paulina confided to Theo that she had known about Lexie, and they bonded over how stressful it had been to keep the secret from Abe. Abe comforted Lexie in the hospital, and Paulina overheard them confess their love for one another.

Paulina talked to Marlena about her fears that Abe would dump her for Lexie. When Paulina told Chanel about Lexie, Chanel guessed that Lexie had been the ethical predicament that Paulina had mentioned. Paulina asked Abe to focus on helping Lexie recover before they talked about their future.

Abe told Theo he was grateful for saving Lexie, but he hated that he had forced Theo to keep it a secret. Kayla confirmed that the DNA proved it was Lexie and that her brain cancer was gone. Kayla was optimistic about Lexie’s full recovery. Theo updated Lexie on his life since his childhood. Abe told Lexie about Paulina.

Chad asked EJ if he could revive Abigail, but EJ noted that it was too late because her body had not been preserved as Lexie’s had been. When Kristen complained to Chad about EJ’s desire to play god, Chad told her that EJ had confirmed he could not revive Abigail. Kristen told Chad her concerns about EJ’s destructiveness. Kristen explained that getting revenge on EJ was not worth going back to prison and losing Rachel. Chad appeared to believe Kristen’s performance.

EJ told Gwen about Lexie’s revival and that Leo’s interference had prevented Rolf from stopping Lexie’s appearance. EJ argued that as the face of the drug, he deserved a bigger share of the money. The offer was take it or leave it, so Gwen grudgingly accepted EJ’s demand.

Justified emotional outbursts

A preoccupied Holly freaked out during a test, and she complained to Tate that she had ruined her life. When Tate attempted to assure Holly that it would be okay, she lashed out and told him that he did not care because he was a dropout. Sarah told Holly about Amy’s intention to charge Holly with cyberbullying. Although Sarah told Holly that she supported her, she cautioned Holly to be careful about what she said online. A defensive Holly walked out. Tate told Brady he wanted to talk to Amy on Holly’s behalf, but Brady warned his son not to make the situation worse.

The Chois met with Jada to discuss Sophia’s disappearance. Jada confirmed that they had not found Sophia and that it was now a search and recovery. Amy refused to accept that Sophia was dead. Amy confronted Holly, but a frustrated Holly argued that she was relieved that Sophia could not hurt anyone. When Amy lit into Holly about her checkered past, Sarah intervened to protect Holly, and she escorted Amy out.

Marlena told Belle about Stefano’s chess set that he had bequeathed to John. Marlena explained she had left it behind and refused to think about it ever again because she did not want to spare another thought for Stefano or his games. Belle asked for advice about Amy’s cyberbullying case, and Marlena cautioned Belle to recuse herself. Marlena talked to Kayla about how Paulina’s situation reminded her of when Roman had returned from the dead.

The guilt factor

Gabi thanked Philip for his help in Alamainia, but she noted that the Dimera family intended to disprove any evidence she had that she was a widow instead of Stefan’s ex. Philip gave Gabi a collection of papers with Vivian’s handwriting to bolster her case that Vivian had forged the divorce papers. Gabi promised to give a portion of any inheritance from the DiMera family to Philip for his family. Although Philip declined the offer, Gabi’s conscience about her part in the Kiriakis family misfortunes compelled her to insist.

Ari complained about Gabi’s invasive parenting, and she asked Gabi to let her make her own mistakes. After the women had an emotional back and forth about Ari’s abandonment issues, Gabi and Ari apologized to one another. Gabi urged Ari to think about what kind of relationship she wanted to have with someone and pursue that.

Javi’s captain at the fire department suspended him for his actions at Johnny’s apartment. When Javi told Rafe he might go back to Texas if things did not improve at work, Rafe cautioned Javi not to base his decision to leave on Leo. Leo mourned the loss of his story about EJ’s secret lab. Rafe was worried about Leo’s suspicion that Cat worked for the ISA, but he was downright alarmed when Cat told him about EJ’s decision to undergo hypnosis. Chad warned EJ not to pursue a romantic relationship with Cat.

Changes

Steve talked to Alex about Kelsey. Alex vowed not to let Kelsey come between him and Stephanie. Steve said he believed that Alex would stand by Stephanie, and he stressed that Alex and Kelsey were part of the family.

Chanel congratulated Alex on his new baby. When Alex asked Chanel if she was worried about Joy, Chanel told him that she and Johnny had bigger problems in their lives. Johnny insisted on going with Chanel for her biopsy. Afterward, Sarah ordered both to go home and rest while they waited for the results in a few days.

Sarah released Shawn from the hospital. Jada took Shawn back to her apartment, and it was a little awkward. Gwen grew dissatisfied with her "no strings attached situationship" with Xander. Kristen asked Xander to kill EJ.
