On Days of our Lives today, Monday, November 10, 2025, Chad and Jennifer get news on Thomas, while the darker side of the Horton family history is laid bare.
What Happened on Days of our Lives

At the Brady Pub, Mike and Jeremy got caught up. Jeremy confided in his dad the struggles he’d been having since returning to Salem. While his teaching job had been a bright spot, Jeremy remained uncertain if coming back was the right call. Mike praised his son’s evolution into a man he was “proud to call my son” and claimed that eventually the people of Salem extended “grace.” In Mike’s mind, Jeremy could find no better place to make a fresh start.
At the Horton house, Julie and Marie – who had arrived in town for the gala – enthusiastically greeted Tate and Holly. After some small talk about the teens’ film project, Holly and Tate set up the camera and began filming. For his first question, Tate asked how long the Hortons had been associated with University Hospital. Julie answered that the long and storied history had begun with her great-grandfather, William. Then Tom had taken up the reins as chief of staff, and other family members like her Uncle Bill had carried on the legacy throughout the generations.
Marie added that while Tom’s career was important, family always came first for both him and Alice. A flashback of Alice and Tom talking about being empty nesters, only to be joined by their kids shortly thereafter, demonstrated Marie’s point. Marie also opened up about her tumultuous past with her brother Tommy. She explained to the stunned teens that she had fallen for him after he had taken on a new identity as a man named Mark and returned to town with a new face. Marie further elaborated that her brother had amnesia at the time because he’d been injured during the Korean War and was even presumed dead.
Marie had worked with Mark/Tommy at the hospital, which was shown in a flashback. Tate and Holly marveled that Marie must have taken the news of Tommy’s true identity hard. Marie said she’d had her family’s support, especially her father, Tom. But she had eventually left town and had become a nun: a tale she called “a story for another time.” Mike and Jeremy soon joined the group, and Mike discussed his tenure as chief of staff.
When the subject turned to Mike’s parents, Bill and Laura, and their hospital love story, however, Julie and Marie shared a look. They remained vague on the subject as flashbacks appeared of Laura and Bill’s early flirtation. Jeremy seemed troubled by the elder Hortons’ answers. Tate and Holly eventually took their leave, with a promise for a potential round two of interviews.
Later, back at the pub, Tate and Holly talked about how their interview had uncovered a whole new side to the Hortons. Tate had always considered them the “perfect family.” Holly believed in their younger years, even the Hortons could bring the “drama.” She jokingly compared them to Tate and herself, who had experienced their fair share of drama. Tate pledged smoother sailing ahead, and he sealed the deal with a kiss.
At the hospital, Jennifer and Chad anxiously sat in the waiting room. They jumped up when they saw Kayla and asked how Thomas was doing. Kayla informed the boy’s concerned relatives that Thomas had suffered a mild concussion and a dislocated shoulder, but otherwise no major injuries. Chad wanted to see his son, but Jennifer blurted out that Thomas likely wouldn’t want to see his father, given “this is all your fault.” Chad shot back at Jennifer that her relentless hatred of Cat had influenced Thomas.
As Jennifer and Chad continued trading shots, Kayla attempted to intervene. Chad agreed that Thomas was his main priority and insisted he was going to see his son. After Chad left, Jennifer vented to Kayla about how Chad was a wonderful father, but his relationship with Cat had changed him. He had become “negligent” to his kids, according to Jennifer. She hinted that she needed to take decisive action.
Meanwhile, in Thomas’ hospital room, Chad approached his son and expressed his relief that Thomas was okay. Thomas teared up and only responded that his dad had lied to him again. Kayla interrupted the tense moment when she came into the room to reset Thomas’ shoulder. Chad wanted to stay, but Thomas said he wanted his grandma there instead.
Back at the Horton house, Mike received a call about Thomas. He updated the rest of the family about Thomas’ condition before leaving for the hospital. After his dad was gone, Jeremy confronted Julie and Marie about Bill and Laura and asked if there was “more to the story.” The women confessed that the full story involved Mike and agreed to tell it to Jeremy.
Marie and Julie gently informed Jeremy of the more sordid details of his grandparents’ story: namely, that his grandfather Bill had gotten drunk and raped his grandmother while she had been married to Bill’s brother Mickey. The event had resulted in a pregnancy for Laura. She had kept Mike's true paternity secret for years. Another flashback showed Tom confronting Laura about the baby’s paternity. When Mickey had discovered the truth, he had “lost his mind,” in Julie’s words. Additional flashbacks showed Mickey questioning a blood test result for Mike, and him later struggling with his brother over a gun.
Jeremy absorbed the news and admitted he had previously only heard “bits and pieces.” He had a better understanding of why his dad had always treated Mickey like a “second father.” Julie stressed that Bill had eventually turned his life around and had even married Laura and fathered another child with her, Jennifer. Mickey had also found his happy ending with Maggie. Jeremy agreed that the family was full of soulmates, including Doug and Julie.
Julie gave Jeremy a speech about recovering from difficult times. Bill had moved forward from his past and become a better person. She subtly prodded Jeremy to do the same.
Back at the hospital, Mike arrived and shared a hug with his sister. Chad told Jennifer about Thomas’ request, so she left in a hurry to be with her grandson. Chad awkwardly greeted Mike and made a remark about the recent friction with Jennifer. Mike admitted that Jennifer had filled him in on the situation with Cat. While he didn’t know Chad well, he believed Chad was a good father who would ultimately do what was best for his kids.
Kayla returned and sent Chad off to get the painkillers she had prescribed for Thomas. Mike and she chatted briefly about their anticipation of the upcoming gala. Mike then hesitantly brought up Jeremy and Stephanie’s past. He conveyed to Kayla his conviction that his son had changed and wanted to atone. “We’ll see,” a skeptical Kayla replied.
Later, Jennifer and Chad reconnected at the nurses’ station. Jennifer indicated she wanted to speak with Chad about something important. As he braced himself, she said that she had always trusted Chad with her grandchildren and had never questioned them being anywhere else. But that had changed.
Since Chad wasn’t putting his kids first, Jennifer had reconsidered Thomas’ request to live with Jack and her. She handed Chad an ultimatum: either let her take the kids to Boston, or she would sue for full custody.
