Here’s your Days of our Lives recap for what happened on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, when Sami returned with news and Julie reminisced with Maggie.
What happened on Days of our Lives

At the hospital, Cat overheard EJ mention Thomas's name while he was on the phone, and she asked what had happened. “Earlier today, my nephew ran into the street by the square and was hit by a car,” EJ said. EJ confirmed that Thomas was okay. Cat blamed herself and explained why. EJ stressed that Clyde was to blame for everything, including EJ’s losses. EJ told Cat about how he had been shot by one of Clyde’s men, kidnapped, and held hostage in Tennessee until he had been burned in a fire.
“I spent years in a coma covered in bandages,” EJ said. “I had no idea,” Cat said. EJ noted that since they both had recovered from a disfiguring accident, they understood better than most how it changed one's perspective on life. Cat agreed.
Down the hallway, Chad and Jennifer told Thomas he could go home. Thomas refused to leave with Chad. “I can take you back to the house,” Jennifer said. Chad asked to speak to Jennifer in the hallway.
Once outside the room, Chad argued that Jennifer had crossed a line when she overrode his authority in front of Thomas. “Thomas will be coming home with me,” Chad said. “That’s not what he wants,” Jennifer countered. Chad reminded Jennifer that he was the parent and made the decisions.
“Not any more, because as soon as he is cleared to travel, I am taking him and Charlotte to Boston,” Jennifer argued. Chad warned Jennifer that he would not let her use his kids to control his life. “I have an obligation to protect my grandchildren!” Jennifer countered. “I am not a risk to my children!” Chad yelled.
“Abigail’s children,” Jennifer countered. Chad accused Jennifer of wanting to take the children because she did not have Abigail. “You don’t deal with loss by taking from someone else! And there is no way in hell you are taking my kids!” Chad yelled. Jennifer acted offended, but Chad called her actions despicable.
“It’s pointless. You’re not going to win [a custody case],” Chad said. Jennifer argued that she would tell the judge that Chad’s lies and negligence had harmed Thomas’ mental and physical well-being. “And more than that, your son doesn’t feel safe with you,” Jennifer argued. Jennifer asked Chad not to force Thomas to leave with him. Cat eavesdropped from the corner.
Jennifer reminded Chad that he had been allowed to live in the Horton house with the expectation that he would put his children’s needs ahead of his own. “Which I do,” Chad countered. Jennifer asked Chad if Abigail would approve. “It was a mistake. We all make mistakes. Including you,” Chad protested. Jennifer argued that she had never endangered her children’s lives, and she stormed off.
At Titan, Philip learned from Maggie that she and Xander had decided to put up the Kiriakis estate as collateral to secure a loan for Titan. “If there was anything else we could do, we would have done it,” Maggie said. Philip asked Maggie to give him time to think of an alternative.
In the pub, Lucas hugged Kate. Lucas admitted that he would like to see Sami while she was in town, but he did not think she would want to see him. Sami walked into the pub. Kate’s eyes went wide. “She’s behind me, isn’t she?” Lucas said. Sami walked past Lucas to Kate.
“Is my dad here?” Sami asked. Kate said no. Kate suggested that Sami call Roman. Kate walked away, and Sami started to leave. “I get it. You’re trying to ignore me. But we’re here, so we might as well talk or something,” Lucas said. Sami agreed. Lucas told Sami that she looked good. As Sami smiled sheepishly and thanked him, she flashed a large diamond ring. “Are you?” Lucas asked. Sami confirmed she was engaged. Lucas’ voice cracked as he congratulated Sami.
“I can honestly say that no man has ever made me this happy,” Sami said. “Well, you deserve it,” Lucas said. Sami told Lucas that she knew he was sorry for what he had done to her. “I’ll be regretting that for the rest of my life,” Lucas whispered. “You should. And I know, because there are a lot of things that I regret that I’m going to be sorry for for the rest of my life,” Sami said. Sami told Lucas that she forgave him. “That means more to me than you’ll ever know,” Lucas said. Sami hugged Lucas.
After Sami left, Lucas told Kate how surprised he was by Sami’s gesture. Philip walked in, and the three toasted to Sami’s engagement. Philip told Lucas and Kate about the plan to use the Kiriakis estate as collateral. Kate refused to let Philip lose his legacy because of Vivian. After Kate went into the kitchen to sign for a delivery, Lucas asked about Vivian. Philip told Lucas about the letter, but he stopped short of telling him that Xander had beaten him.
Maggie visited Julie at the Horton house. As Maggie expressed her regret that Bo and Hope could not return home for the gala, Julie admitted that all the reminiscing had reminded her of when Hope had entered her life. “Hope’s real story begins with a terrible quarrel that Doug and I had. I walked out on Doug. And my mother walked in,” Julie said.
Julie thought about when she had called home, and Alice had told her about Doug’s marriage to Addie. Julie talked about how angry and devastated she had been by Addie’s pregnancy and leukemia. Julie thought about when Addie had been in the hospital. “I don’t want to fail with this daughter. As I failed with you, Julie,” Addie had said. Addie had asked Julie to raise Hope with Doug if she did not survive.
“And then Addie went into remission,” Maggie noted. With tears in her eyes, Julie said the news about Thomas’ accident had made her think of when Addie had been hit by a car and killed. “Who would have thought out of such tragedy would come such great love,” Julie said. Julie thought about how she and Doug had reunited after Addie’s death.
“You were soulmates,” Maggie said. “We still are. His love. His spirit. That’s all that keeps me going. He’s still a part of me. The best part. That’s never going to change,” Julie said. Julie noted that Maggie and Mickey had been soulmates, too. Maggie reminisced about when she had met Mickey at the farmhouse and how she had eventually married him.
Jennifer returned home with Thomas. “Where’s Chad?” Julie asked. Jennifer asked Maggie to take Thomas into the kitchen, and she obliged. Jennifer told Julie, “Thomas did not want Chad to take him home.” Jennifer said she was hiring Justin to sue for custody of Thomas and Charlotte, and she hoped that Maggie would support her.
EJ was working in his office when Sami walked in. “You do look better than last time I saw you,” Sami said with a grin. EJ told Sami that he was glad she was able to attend the gala. “I’m gonna have to leave the gala early. I have plans I can’t break,” Sami said. Sami informed EJ that she was throwing a baby shower for Johnny and Chanel.
“And you’re not invited. And I’m only telling you because I really don’t want you to crash it,” Sami said. “Anything else?” EJ said. With a chuckle, Sami announced that she was engaged. EJ struggled to force a smile. “To whom?” EJ asked. “Dante Vitali,” Sami said. EJ laughed, and he asked Sami if she was out of her mind. Sami argued that Dante had no connection to the mob part of his family in Pennsylvania. When EJ mentioned Charlie, Sami added that Dante did not know Charlie or Ava.
“That doesn’t make him any less dangerous,” EJ said. EJ argued that Sami had rushed into an engagement to prove that she was over him. Sami laughed. “When Dante gave me this ring, you were the furthest thing from my mind,” Sami said. With a smirk, Sami noted that EJ was jealous. EJ told Sami that he did not believe she would get married.
“That is why you make people so angry. That is why you’re not welcome at your grandson’s celebration. It’s why they made Rafe his honorary grandfather,” Sami said. “Touche,” EJ said quietly. Sami told EJ that he caused his own misery and that she hated that Johnny was estranged from his father. Sami argued that EJ always believed that he knew best, and he was spiteful when he didn't get his way.
“I know. I do the same thing. But I’m working on it. And it makes a big difference. It will for you, too,” Sami said. “Food for thought. In the meantime, I don’t suppose you would put in a good word with Johnny on my behalf?” EJ said. Sami said no, and she encouraged EJ to work it out with Johnny on his own.
After Sami left, Chad walked in and asked EJ for legal advice. EJ promised to represent Chad in court if Jennifer pursued a custody case. “She’s not thinking rationally, EJ. To want to take my kids away from me? I mean, how heartless is that?” Chad said. EJ told Chad he was welcome to move into the mansion.
As Sami walked through the hospital, she ran into Cat. “You seem so familiar to me,” Cat said. With a quizzical look, Sami said she felt like they had bumped into one another before. As Sami walked away, Cat recovered a memory of seeing Sami at the bedside of a man wrapped in bandages. Cat also thought about how she had read “Wuthering Heights” to that man in the hospital.
