Tate was relieved when Brady walked in the front door. He hadn't come home the night before, nor was he answering his calls. Brady explained that his phone had died at the hospital before telling Tate the news about Rachel. Tate was devastated to learn that his sister was in a psychiatric ward, but he wanted to go see her.

Tate got a bag ready for Rachel with some of her favorite things. Brady informed Tate that Marlena didn't know about Rachel, and they weren't going to tell her just yet. They would just tell Marlena that Rachel was not feeling well if Marlena asked.

When they got to the hospital, Rachel had been given a sedative and was sleeping. Tate asked Brady to go tell Marlena what was going on with Rachel, noting she'd feel worse when she learned this was kept from her. Tate stayed behind with Rachel

Marlena was surprised when Belle arrived at her hospital room with an entire home-cooked Thanksgiving feast in brown paper shopping bags. "Since you can't come home, I thought we'd bring Thanksgiving to you. So we can all be together on the day when family matters the most," Belle said.

Marlena questioned if she had the key lime party ready for Rachel. Belle did not mention Rachel's condition, and Marlena did not see the look on Belle's face. Belle was glad that Marlena was up for a holiday celebration, especially after losing John this past year. "I know how hard this must be for you. He was the love of your life," Belle said.

Marlena reiterated that John was the love of her life, and the greatest gift he had given her was Belle. "I am so very grateful for you. He lives on in you, in your brothers and sisters, and everyone in our family who loves him," Marlena said.

Belle and Marlena made small talk, and Marlena was amused to learn that Belle had signed up for a dating app. The app had matched her with Chad, but Belle tried to ignore that match. "The algorithm didn't know that I used to date his brother," Belle laughed.

Just then, Brady walked in and tried to lie about where Rachel was, but Marlena immediately knew they were keeping something from her and asked them to spill. Brady first told Marlena about the pistachio ice cream incident before. "When Rachel saw Sarah almost die from something she did, it triggered a memory for her, one that she apparently had buried for some time. Rachel was the one who shot EJ," Brady admitted.

"Brady, I'm so sorry about this. I wish I had known that Rachel was still a danger to others," Marlena said, shocking Brady and Belle. She explained how she already knew that Rachel had shot EJ. Brady was immediately disturbed that Marlena had known all this time and hadn't told him.

Marlena told Brady that she wanted Rachel to remember what happened on her own at a time when she could handle the memory. "I thought that I would be there to help," Marlena offered. She didn't tell Brady because she didn't want the news to adversely affect his relationship with Rachel. Brady was too upset to stay and walked out of the room.

Back in Rachel's room, Tate sat with his sleeping sister. He promised to take good care of S'mores. "I'd even feed him until you get well and can feed him yourself," Tate said, before placing a stuffed version of her snake by her side, Seymour II.

"I never mentioned how much it meant to me that you took the time to come visit when I was in the halfway house. When I was your age, I had much better things to do than go visit my screwed up older brother," Tate added. Brady soon returned to Rachel's room, where he and Tate prayed for Rachel's recovery.

Alex arrived home with Stephanie's dry cleaning while she was on her laptop, hard at work. Alex began going through some of the fan mail that Holly had been organizing and found a letter addressed to Stephanie and now Anastasia Sands. As soon as he opened it, he became alarmed and exclaimed, "What the hell?!?!"

The fan seemed to be obsessed, writing, "My heart longs for you. We belong together. You will be mine." Stephanie didn't seem to care. She was more concerned with making sure they got to the pub on time.

Kate set up for a small Thanksgiving dinner at the Brady Pub. When Roman returned from visiting Marlena, they realized how much they had to be thankful for. Outside the pub, Steve and Kayla also reflected on how much they need to be thankful for.

When they walked into the pub, Kayla offered an update on Sarah and Marlena. Kate and Roman were glad to hear they were doing better. Roman still felt responsible for Sarah's allergic reaction. "I still have no idea how that could have happened," Roman said.

They discussed the DiMera situation and found it odd that Kristen and Tony had gone MIA at the exact same time. "Is it odd or just all part of a classic DiMera scheme?" Roman asked. Kate noted that the DiMeras were always unpredictable.

Just then, Alex and Stephanie arrived. They were welcomed with open arms as Kayla made sure her daughter was packed for the first leg of her book tour. Alex soon quietly took Steve aside to show him the concerning fan letter. Steve glanced at it and wasn't concerned. But Alex asked him to figure out who sent it.

Later, Steve and Kayla bragged about their trivia skills. They also discussed Johnny and Chanel's adoption. Steve congratulated Kate and Roman on a new great-grandchild, while Kayla made a remark that they wouldn't know about grandparenthood. Alex and Stephanie immediately felt uncomfortable.

Finally, they sat down to eat and gave thanks for their family, spread near and far.
