Here is what happened on Days of our Lives, Friday, November 28, 2025, when the Hernandez family celebrated good news, the Horton family had a tense meal, and Tony and Kristen continued to wait to be found.
What happened on Days of our Lives

Javi and Leo were curled up in their bed together kissing, when Ari called through the doorway. “Are you guys coming down to dinner or what?” Ari yelled. Javi yelled back that they would be down shortly. “How would you feel about us getting a place of our own?” Javi asked. Javi noted that although he loved his family, he wanted to be alone with Leo, who was also his family.
While Gabi was out picking up milk, she ran into JJ in the square. As they talked, Philip walked over and said hello. “Gabi generously invited me to dinner,” Philip said. “Philip was light on Thanksgiving plans,” Gabi said. As Philip stared at JJ, he asked Gabi if he could escort her home. Gabi took Philip’s arm, and she wished JJ a Happy Thanksgiving as she walked away.
In the Hernandez house, Ari went into the living room to watch football, while Rafe continued to cook. Leo walked into the kitchen. Rafe confirmed Javi’s casserole was in the oven, and sarcastically thanked Leo for his help with the food. Leo reminded Rafe that he had bought the wine. Rafe and Leo both started to say that they wanted to talk to one another when Gabi returned home with Philip and the milk. Philip thanked Rafe for the invite, and he admitted that the atmosphere in the Hernandez home was friendlier than his own family.
Rafe announced that it was time to say what they were thankful for that year. Javi said he was thankful for Leo and their time with Tesoro. Rafe said he was grateful for his family. Gabi added that she was thankful to have full control of Gabi Chic. Ari said she was thankful to live in the dorms away from home. “I’m grateful for compromise, and also that we are all here together and healthy,” Rafe said. Gabi asked Philip what he was thankful for that year.
“I guess I’d have to say forgiveness. Knowing that even when you screwed up in the worst possible way, the people who love you will find a way to keep being there for you,” Philip said. Philip added that he was thankful for loyalty. “For everyone who stood by me in good times and bad, even when I didn’t always deserve it,” Philip added. Gabi’s smile disappeared.
After dinner, Rafe sent Gabi and Philip to join Ari and Javi in the living room for the football game. Leo stayed behind to resume his talk with Rafe in the kitchen. Rafe asked Leo about his investigation into EJ’s clinic. “The fact that you are asking me suggests that you and the FBI suspect something fishy,” Leo said. Rafe simply noted that he liked to keep an eye on the DiMera family. Rafe asked Leo what he had wanted to talk about. “I wanted to ask you for a huge favor,” Leo said.
After the game, the Hernandez family returned to the kitchen for pie. Philip thanked Gabi again for having included him in her family’s celebration. Leo handed Javi a piece of pie with a ring on top. “Is that my mom’s engagement ring?” Javi asked. “It always should have been yours,” Rafe said to Javi. Leo got down on one knee, and Gabi gasped. “Javier Hernandez, will you do me the honor of marrying me?” Leo asked.
As Javi’s eyes glittered with happy tears, Leo noted that he was grateful for Javi. “I knew right away that there was something special about you. And it didn’t hurt that you saw something special in me too,” Leo said. “There was something special about you,” Javi said with a chuckle. Leo noted that he had almost sabotaged their relationship, but it had made them stronger.
“I feel like there is nothing that I could say to you that you wouldn’t understand and still love me. And the same goes for you. And look at us now. We live with your amazing family. For a while, we raised a child together. I know that I have said this before, but it bears repeating. I never felt like I had a family until you brought me into yours,” Leo said. Leo thanked the Hernandez family for making him realize what he had missed in a family. Javi pulled Leo to his feet and kissed him.
“Yes! A million times yes!” Javi said. Leo noted that he had never been happier. Gabi put the ring on her necklace for Javi to wear until the ring was fitted properly to him. Gabi welcomed Leo to the family. “Obviously, it goes without saying if you hurt our cousin, I’m going to make sure there is hell to pay,” Rafe said. Leo promised to make Javi as happy as Javi made him. “You already do,” Javi said. Rafe wished Leo and Javi a long and happy life together.
At the Horton house, Jennifer and Thomas set the table for Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room. “Where do you want your dad to sit?” Jennifer asked. “As far from me as possible,” Thomas muttered. Jennifer thanked Thomas for agreeing to let Chad join them. “I only did it for Charlotte,” Thomas said. Charlotte ran in, and she asked when they could break the wishbone. When Charlotte said she wanted to wish for the return of their father, Thomas noted that her wish would not come true unless she got the bigger piece of the wishbone. “I wish Dad never comes back home,” Thomas said.
In the Horton living room, Jack checked on Julie. “I’m really grateful that I’ll be spending the day with all of you,” Julie said. Jack hugged Julie as she held back tears. “I’ll tell you a secret. Sometimes I forget, and I expect to see Doug coming down the staircase,” Julie whispered. Julie admitted that she still could not believe that Doug had passed away on Thanksgiving Day a year ago.
When Julie noted that the family was still going through hard times, Jack agreed that things were messy because of Chad. “You’re trying to take Chad’s children away from him. That’s beyond messy,” Julie said. Jack said he hoped that the lawsuit would “bring Chad to his senses.” Julie noted that the children were unhappy, and Jack countered that he and Jennifer wanted to keep the children safe.
“That’s all anybody wants! Just hope that we can put our differences aside and get through this day,” Julie said. Jack stressed that they still cared for Chad, and they did not want to hurt him. “Thomas’ accident proved to me and Jennifer that action had to be taken,” Jack argued. Julie reminded Jack that they were a family. JJ arrived, and Jack asked JJ to help him carve the turkey, which had been Doug’s job in years past. Julie smiled.
As they waited for Chad to arrive, the family stood around the living room. “Where is Daddy?” Charlotte asked. “I wish I knew,” Jennifer said as she shared a look with Jack. Julie left the room to call Chad. Jennifer and Jack stepped to the side to talk. “We don’t even know if he’s going to show up,” Jennifer whispered. Jack suggested that Chad was following Jeremy’s advice and giving Thomas some space, or he had stopped at a store to pick something up for dinner.
“Given the situation, I can’t believe Chad wouldn’t jump through hoops to be here with his kids on this day,” Jack said. Jack and Jennifer looked over at Thomas, who stared glumly at the floor. Jennifer announced it was time to eat. “What about Dad?” Charlotte asked. Jennifer noted that they could not wait any longer. The family sat down to dinner, and Julie lead the Thanksgiving prayer. “We are grateful for every person at this table. And for all the people who cannot be with us,” Julie said. Charlotte stared sadly at her father’s empty place at the table.
After dinner, JJ took the kids upstairs to play games. Julie returned to the living room to talk to Doug’s photo, and she asked him to help the family. In the dining room, Jennifer complained about Chad’s absence from dinner, and she wondered aloud if Chad had spent the day with Cat. Jack noted that he hoped that Chad was okay. Julie’s phone beeped with a text from Chad. The text read that Chad had just seen Julie’s invitation and to send his love to the kids.
In the DiMera crypt, Tony and Kristen talked about missing out on Thanksgiving dinner. Kristen noted that even if she had not been taken to the crypt, she would not have been able to spend Thanksgiving with her daughter because of prison. “[Rachel] probably thinks I abandoned her,” Kristen said. Tony noted that Anna was likely beside herself. Kristen argued that at least the cops were searching for her. Tony argued that the police would not look for either of them in Salem.
“Why us? Why know?” Kristen wondered aloud. Tony argued that because there was an abundance of food in the crypt, it was possible that they should expect company. The door opened, and someone dumped an unconscious Chad inside the crypt.
