On Days of our Lives the week of October 19th through 23rd, 2026, Dante defended his friendship with Dominic, Sophia reached out to her mother, Kristen said goodbye to Rachel, Joy had a breakthrough, Javi and Leo kissed, Abe sought a diagnosis, Chanel had surgery, and George shot Xander.
Reunions and Regrets
EJ questioned Dante about Dominic. Dante noted that Dominic never mentioned his parents but a woman named Rita had visited Dominic in school. Suspicious, EJ warned Dante not to hurt Sami in his schemes with Dominic. Dante argued that although he considered Dominic a friend, he would never let anyone hurt Sami. Dante showed Marlena a photo of Dominic.
Roman rented the room at the pub to Mason. Sophia revealed herself to her mother. After a heart to heart about how Sophia’s mental well-being had improved, Amy agreed to let her daughter continue to remain “dead” so that Sophia could start a new life. As Sophia left town, Mason heard her voice in the park. When Mason did not see Sophia, he noted that he likely had been hearing things.
Rachel was happy to see Kristen in her hospital room, but she passed out before they could talk. Sarah determined that Rachel needed a second surgery to clean out the rest of the infection. Brady reluctantly allowed Kristen to stay through Rachel’s surgery, because Rachel had already seen her. Brady told Kristen that she could no longer be in Rachel’s life. Kristen argued that Rachel needed her, but Brady countered that Rachel had not missed her since she had left. Brady told Kristen what Rachel had said about how life would be better without Kristen in it.
By the morning, Kristen decided to give up custody of Rachel. Brady told Kristen that he would let her be a part of Rachel’s life if she sought therapy for her impulse control. Rachel’s health improved after the surgery. Kristen told Rachel that she had made a mistake and needed to leave and work on herself. Kristen said goodbye to her daughter.
It's a Miracle!
Bonnie advised Joy to give up on pursuing Alex. Philip accidentally saw that Joy had received muscle relaxants, and she claimed she was taking them before bed to help with shoulder pain. Stephanie warned Alex that she believed that Joy was faking paralysis in order to pursue him. Stephanie asked Kayla to test Joy’s reflexes.
Before Kayla could test Joy at her next appointment, Kayla was called away. Joy had taken a muscle relaxant prior to the exam, and she fell asleep in the exam room after Kayla had left the room. Joy dreamed that Alex discovered she had been lying about the paralysis, and he had threatened to take their child away. Shaken by the dream, Joy pretended that the feeling was returning to her legs when Alex checked on her.
Leo and Javi met for lunch, and they reminisced about the night they had met. Javi admitted he was concerned about Leo’s investigation into EJ. Leo assured Javi that his job was less dangerous than Javi’s. Javi told Leo that he could not be his friend because he wanted to date him again. Javi kissed Leo.
Forget Me Not
Abe told Kayla about his forgetfulness and tremors. Kayla agreed to run tests on Abe. Abe admitted he was worried that Theo would have to watch him degrade like Lexie. Theo invited EJ to Lexie’s memorial service.
Chanel continued to object to Johnny’s decision to stay at DiMera. Johnny promised to quit once he righted the company and found a replacement. Chanel went in for surgery as the final step in her cancer treatment. Paulina and Abe had lunch together.
Johnny fired George, and he had him removed from the property before he could retrieve his laptop from his office. Cat met with Steve in the park to discuss her work with the ISA. Steve offered his help to support her investigation with EJ. Steve met up with Johnny, and they were unable to locate George’s laptop in his lab.
When Cat reported to EJ about how Dominic had backed out the purchase of the Kiriakis mansion, he asked her to get a copy of the birth certificate from Marlena. EJ attempted to guide Cat to the bedroom, but George interrupted to ask for help. EJ shooed Cat out of the room, and George told EJ about the laptop and being fired. EJ warned George that he only had himself to blame and that he was solely responsible for the crimes.
Danger Alert
Steve staked out a spot at George’s home to track his laptop. Steve saw EJ meet with George, but he did not hear their conversation about where the laptop was hidden. EJ paid George to grab the laptop and leave the country. Steve attempted to follow George, but he was tased while he spoke to Johnny on the phone. Johnny called 911 to get Steve.

Sarah took Xander with her to DiMera Enterprises to head off George. Xander located the hiding place for the laptop, but George cut off their exit. When George drew his gun, Xander jumped in front of Sarah as George fired his weapon. Xander returned fire as he clutched his bleeding stomach.
