Here's your Days of our Lives recap for the week of October 27th through 31st, 2025, when DNA confirmed Tesoro's paternity, Philip defended Xander, Thomas plotted with Rachel, JJ made a decision, and Susan had a grim prediction for Stephanie.
What happened on Days of our Lives

JJ convinced Gwen to patch things up with Leo so that he would be less inclined to investigate the clinic. Gwen invited a wary Leo to lunch. Chad convinced Leo to go both because Leo missed Gwen, but also so he could check if she had ulterior motives for the invitation. Leo told Chad about his unnerving encounters with Rita and EJ while investigating the clinic. Chad promised to talk to EJ and assure that Leo was not a threat to EJ or the hospital.
Brady apologized to Cat about how Rachel had blurted out the truth to Thomas. Cat noted that there was nothing to be sorry for and that she was sorry that Aaron’s silence had hurt Tate. Brady asked about the DNA test, and Cat confirmed they would have the answer that day.
Cat thanked EJ for giving Mark a job. EJ said he believed in second chances for obvious reasons. EJ learned that Tony had disappeared. EJ alerted Chad and Theo about the disappearance, but Tony turned up at the next port on the cruise.
Chad asked Jennifer to tell Thomas that moving to Boston was not an option, and she agreed. Jennifer thanked Chad for ending his relationship with Cat. When Chad admitted he had not expected to fall for Cat, Jennifer argued that Chad’s attachment was a case of transference with the love that he had for Abigail. When Cat interrupted their meeting to deliver a message from EJ, Jennifer said she understood that Chad would continue to bump into Cat around town.
Philip pleaded on Xander’s behalf to Sarah. Sarah ordered Philip to go to the police about the beating, but he refused. Philip argued that it would destroy the company and his brother, and he would not harm either. Sarah said she did not love Xander, and she would not let him see Victoria.
Maggie dismissed Xander as CEO because she felt he was a lost cause. Philip declined to go along with Maggie’s plan, and he reminded her that only he could send Xander to prison. Philip refused to betray his brother again, and he stressed that he believed that Xander was genuinely sorry for his actions. Maggie reluctantly agreed to let Xander stay on. Xander received divorce papers.
Xander went to couples therapy alone, and he told Marlena everything that had happened. Although Xander discussed giving up on custody of Victoria, Marlena advised Xander not to give up on therapy or his daughter yet. Marlena told Xander that she believed he could grow as a person. Marlena agreed to continue therapy with Xander if he promised to always be honest with her.
Brady took Sarah to a rage room to help her deal with her aggression. Sarah marveled that Xander had committed the same violence against humans. When Sarah called herself a monster for wanting to cut Xander out of Victoria’s life, Brady advised Sarah to cut ties while Victoria was young enough not to have memories of her father.
JJ attempted to talk to Theo about whether he should resign from his job, but Theo refused to make JJ’s decision for him. JJ clarified that he wanted to consult his friend since he had not before, but Theo said it was too late. JJ confessed to Jennifer that he was struggling with the decision, and she agreed with Theo. Jennifer apologized for having been too preoccupied to have noticed that JJ was struggling emotionally. JJ decided to remain with the police force. Theo told Abe about his recent discussions with JJ. Abe met with Liam for the literacy program.
Julie noticed the icy atmosphere between Stephanie and Jeremy at the bookstore. Stephanie would only say that her relationship with Jeremy had ended badly. JJ and Jeremy bonded over their mutual problem of making amends with someone from their past.
Steve was uncomfortable with Stephanie’s alter ego as Anastasia, but he was proud of her. Steve and Kayla discussed their distrust of Jeremy. Steve confirmed that Jeremy’s background check was clean.
Stephanie was horrified to see Jada going on a date with Jeremy. When Jada learned that Jeremy was Stephanie’s ex, she broke off their date. Stephanie was concerned that Jeremy had intentionally targeted Jada to hurt Stephanie. Stephanie told Alex about the time Jeremy had held her underwater.
When Jada returned, Stephanie told her about her past with Jeremy. Jada vowed to keep an eye on him. Before the Halloween festivities, Alex confronted Jeremy about the drowning incident. Jeremy seethed as he warned Alex to back off.
EJ offered Amy a deal to allow Johnny and Chanel to adopt Tesoro. DNA confirmed Aaron was the father of Sophia’s baby. Aaron was shaken by the news and distracted as he led a ghost tour around Salem. EJ asked Cat to convince Aaron to sign over his parental rights. Chanel started to lose hope. Johnny reassured Chanel that they would be parents someday. Social services decided about Tesoro’s future.
Salemites celebrated Halloween in the square. While Rachel and Thomas catapulted pumpkins with Jeremy in the park, Chad ran into Cat in the square. Rachel pointed it out to Thomas, and she suggested that they chuck a small pumpkin at Cat. Thomas believed Chad had lied to him again about dating Cat, so he hesitantly agreed to Rachel’s plan.
Stephanie revealed herself to be Anastasia Sands at her book release party for her murder mystery. Susan warned Stephanie that her murder mystery story would come true. In the square, someone held a carving knife aloft as Alex passed by.
