Days of our Lives Recap October 6: The Kiriakis Clan and Friends Sabotage the Mansion

On the Tuesday, October 6, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Rachel feels unwell, Theo makes a counteroffer to Gabi, and the Kiriakis family work together to sabotage the sale of their home.

The Plan

At Brady’s apartment, he encouraged Sarah to take time off from work, but Sarah said she refused to be intimidated by EJ. After Sarah left to meet Maggie at the pub, Brady prepared to take Rachel to school. As Rachel put on the bracelet that Kristen had sent her, she complained to Brady that she had a stomachache. Brady noted that Rachel did not have a fever, and he reminded Rachel that she was prone to stomachaches when she was anxious. Rachel admitted she was nervous about a math test. Brady assured Rachel that if she felt worse, he would pick her up from school.

At Titan, Xander and Philip excitedly got back to work. Philip commented on Xander’s cheery outlook, but Xander said he wanted to keep a positive outlook. Maggie called and asked Xander and Philip to meet her at the pub

When the group gathered at the pub, Maggie and Kate told them about their plan to save Victor’s house by claiming that it was filled with mold and vermin. Kate explained that if the inspection went poorly, Dominic might back out of the sale. Sarah argued that the plan was illegal, and she was already in enough legal trouble. Xander and Maggie agreed that Sarah should not be a part of the plan, but Xander and Philip were eager to help. Roman eavesdropped on the conversation despite Kate's efforts to shoo him away. Sarah agreed to call Brady, and she agreed to help with the plan.

The Execution

Maggie, Philip, Kate, Sarah, and Xander crept into the empty Kiriakis mansion, and Brady joined them after he dropped off Rachel at school. Maggie explained to Brady that they wanted to make the house look like it was falling apart. As the front door opened, everyone collectively gasped with the expectation that they had been caught trespassing. It was Roman. Roman said he knew what they were doing, and he was there to help.

Maggie assigned tasks to everyone to make the house appear damaged. Kate warned everyone to keep track of the work they completed and to finish it quickly. Xander and Sarah went to the basement to stage bad pipes and black mold. Philip donned a plastic suit so that he could strategically place asbestos in the attic to make it appear that it was in all the insulation. “Remember where you put it so we can remove it after the inspection,” Maggie reminded Philip.

Kate watched as Roman worked on faking bad wiring, and she apologized for having attempted to keep him out of their plan. Roman said he understood why Kate had lied about it. Kate admitted she was surprised that Roman wanted to do something shady. Roman explained that he knew how much the house meant to their family, and he was concerned about Dominic’s connection to Stefano. “I am doing this for you,” Roman said. Roman kissed Kate.

While Xander worked on creating leaky plumbing in the laundry room, Sarah started to paint the appearance of “black mold” on the walls. As soon as Xander started work, he screamed. Xander stumbled out of the laundry room, drenched with cold water. Sarah laughed as she handed him a towel. As Xander took off his shirt, Sarah could not help but watch. Brady walked in with a trap filled with rats. Unnerved, Sarah hid behind Xander.

Brady asked Xander to handle the rats because he needed to pick Rachel up from school. When Brady explained that Rachel had a stomachache, Sarah offered to go with him. Brady insisted that Sarah stay and help her mother. After Brady returned Rachel home, he asked what would make her feel better. “I want mom,” Rachel said.

When Xander and Sarah returned to the Kiriakis living room, Sarah admitted that she would like to have the whole family under one roof again. Sarah admitted that Victoria had asked her when they could live with “Daddy” again. Sarah said she had explained to Victoria that her parents needed to live separately.

As Xander and Sarah stared into one another’s eyes, Sarah said she knew that Victoria would love it if her parents were back together again. Sarah admitted that would be best for Victoria. “Yes, it’s what’s best. For Victoria,” Xander whispered as he stared into Sarah’s eyes.

Temptation

Theo met up with Gabi in the square to tell her that he could not accept her job offer because of his past attraction to her. Gabi said she understood, but that she felt like there was more to Theo’s decision. Theo explained that he also wanted to be his own boss. Gabi pitched a partnership that gave Theo free rein over his area. Theo said he was tempted, but he wanted to take time off from working. Gabi thanked Theo for his consideration.

Theo told Gabi that the main reason he had considered her offer was because he liked the idea of exposing EJ’s crimes. Theo said he wanted to help Gabi, but he did not want to work for her. Curious, Gabi asked Theo why he had left DiMera. Theo said he had hoped that he could change the company, but he had realized that DiMera was an ethical void that would not change. Theo said he wanted to destroy the company and hold the executives accountable. Gabi told Theo that she was happy to have him on her team, and that there was always a job for Theo at Gabi Chic if he changed his mind.

After Theo left, Philip joined Gabi at the cafe. Philip told Gabi that Maggie had a plan to possibly save the mansion. While Gabi checked a text from work, Philip looked at his phone. Philip received an email invitation to a poker game. After a moment’s hesitation, Philip deleted the email.
