Days of our Lives Weekly Recap, April 13-17: Humiliation, family planning, and moving on

Here is what happened on Days of our Lives the week of April 13th through 17th, 2026, when Bonnie suffered humiliation, Theo confessed, Stephanie and Alex fought over their future, Javi devastated Leo, Xander learned Sarah was serious with Brady, Kristen plotted murder, and Dimitri signed divorce papers.

What happened on Days of our Lives

Without DiMera publishing’s promotional efforts, no one attended Bonnie's book signing. After Bonnie lashed out at Julie and Ari for not doing enough to promote the event, a delivery man hauled off every copy of the book because of an injunction from Titan. Liam defended Ari and helped back up the books. Julie took notice, and she offered Liam a job in the bookstore. Liam accepted.

Leo talked to Marlena about how he had realized he wanted to be with Javi. Leo told Marlena about the mean things Dimitri had said, and he marveled at how he had ever been in love with him. Leo confided that he was worried that he would never be worthy of Javi. Marlena cautioned Leo to let Javi decide. Javi told Rafe that he was back in Salem to stay.

Chanel invited EJ to join her, Johnny and Trey for gelato. Later that night, Johnny felt a lump in Chanel’s breast. Chanel argued that she did not want to live in fear during her whole pregnancy. Chanel felt the baby move for the first time.

Theo told Gabi that he had left DiMera, but he did not say why. Gabi and Theo made double date plans for trivia night. Gabi ran into Leo at trivia night, and he told her that he was not with Dimitri. Leo explained that he had realized that Javi was the man he wanted, and he regretted hurting him. When Theo arrived for trivia night, he was surprised to learn that Shawn was moving in with Jada.

Leo asked Theo about his resignation. He snapped that it was none of Leo’s business.Theo continued to be in a bad mood and gave Jada the cold shoulder. Theo left midway, and Gabi followed him outside to talk. Theo said he was overwhelmed and he went home. The next day, Theo met with Marlena to talk about his emotional breakdown. Theo confessed that he was stressed since he had learned that Lexie was alive, and that EJ was working to revive her. Theo confided that he was worried his mother would not be the same person.

Javi overheard Leo leaving a voicemail for Marlena about how he was moving on. Mid call, Leo spotted Javi and they talked. Dimitri interrupted and told Leo he would be sorry. Leo told Javi that he had chosen him over Dimitri. Leo apologized for not having realized that he should have followed Javi to Texas. Javi admitted that he had moved on with someone else.

Chanel told Alex what Stephanie had confided in her about not feeling like herself. Alex said he was disappointed that Stephanie had not confided in him. Stephanie returned her advance to Philip and he reluctantly agreed to release her from her contract. Stephanie was frustrated when she realized Alex had already told Philip her plans. Stephanie complained to Alex for treating her like a child. Alex was hurt that Stephanie said he had failed to protect her. When Alex mentioned people were worried about her, Stephanie argued that she did not like everyone handling her behind her back and stormed out.

Stephanie ran into Jeremy in the square and admitted that the only person she could talk to about her ordeal was Jeremy because he had gone through it too. Alex saw Jeremy and Stephanie hugging. Stephanie explained that Jeremy had helped her. Alex said he was thankful that Jeremy could help Stephanie. Alex admitted that it was difficult to watch her suffer and not be able to help.

When Alex agreed to babysit Trey after Chanel’s sitter canceled, Stephanie was upset that Alex had not asked her first. Stephanie told Alex that she felt like he was attempting to manipulate her into starting a family. Concerned, Alex asked Stephanie if she no longer wanted to have children with him. Stephanie admitted that she loved Alex, but that she was not sure what she wanted any more. Alex walked out.

Dimitri told Gwen that Leo had dumped him. When Gwen seemed pleased by the news, Dimitri said he was reconsidering Leo’s request to sign the divorce papers. Gwen made an emotional appeal to Dimitri, so he signed. Dimitri warned Gwen that he still planned to prove she had kidnapped him.

Kate and Xander agreed that they had misunderstood how Johnny would respond to a lawsuit. Kate remained protective of Johnny, but Xander reminded her that it had been her idea to set him up. Kate admitted that her marriage was on the line because she had had to lie to Roman. Xander suggested that they learn why Theo had resigned so that they can use the info.

Brady and Sarah spent the day together. When Xander spotted them on a date, he got drunk and met up with Gwen. Gwen was disappointed to learn why Xander had gotten drunk and called her, but she promised to help him forget Sarah and Brady.

Paulina convinced Judge Dabney not to file a complaint with the state bar against Belle. Belle lamented that the police had been unable to secure a search warrant for the DiMera mansion. Belle confronted EJ about his appearance for Trey’s adoption, but EJ argued it had been good luck.

Kristen told Sophia that she wanted her to kill Johnny. Sophia objected, but Kristen ordered Sophia to do whatever she said. Sophia realized that Rachel had been EJ’s shooter. Kristen swore Sophia to secrecy, and she explained that Rachel had been sent to Bayview because of EJ. Kristen promised to help Sophia get her revenge on Holly.

To EJ’s dismay, Kristen announced that she was moving back into the mansion. When Xander asked Kristen if she was there to spy on EJ, they were interrupted before she could respond.
