Outside the Pub, Lani noted to Theo that Abe seemed worried about the service for Lexie. Theo admitted that his father was nervous the DiMeras would cause a scene. Lani hoped they would be on their best behavior. Lani also pointed out that Abe seemed unsteady sometimes, which Theo had also noticed.

When Lani and Theo walked in with some boxes, Mason offered to help. Mason recognized Lani from when they both rescued Holly from a mugger. They formally introduced themselves and made some small talk. Mason was sorry to hear they were hosting a memorial for Theo's mother. Lani was soon called to the station, so she left Theo to set up on his own.

Mason admitted to Theo that he had also lost a parent when he was young, so he sympathized.

At a table, Leo was happy to tell Chad that he and Javi were back together. Chad was more interested in Leo's progress in the counterfeit purse investigation. Leo admitted that the investigation had stalled. As they discussed Leo's dead ends, Theo listened in. He approached the two men and asked if he could speak to Chad alone, so Leo walked off, but did his best to listen in.

"Johnny. He called me last night and wanted to know if I was aware of any DiMera ships being used to move counterfeit merchandise," Theo stated. Chad asked if this had to do with Gabi Chic handbags. Theo admitted that it did and knew that Leo was investigating. He wanted any information that Chad had. Sadly, Chad didn't have much to say, but both men noticed Leo listening. Leo knew they noticed and walked away.

Chad deduced that either Tony or EJ had to be behind the counterfeit operation. "Or both," Theo said. Theo told Chad that he was smart to stay away from the family business as much as possible.

In the Salem Inn, Gwen was writing a 'Get Well' card to Xander when Leo burst in to talk about what he'd just heard about the counterfeit purses. "Back when you were working for EJ, did he ever use DiMera ships to transport things under the radar?" he asked.

Gwen had lots of info and told Leo that EJ was indeed smuggling the pod into the country and housing it in a disguised warehouse on Pier 4. Clearly, that had to be where the counterfeit purses were too. She told Leo the sign outside said, "Becky's Bait Shop."

Gwen made Leo promise he would stay away from the warehouse. Leo did just that...with his fingers crossed behind his back. He was just going to do some internet research. Instead, he put on his best fishing gear and headed for the bait shop. After finding a briefcase full of cash, someone locked Leo in.

Finding Sophia

Holly seemed distracted in Horton Town Square as Tate complained about a personal training client. Tate finally noticed that Holly had not been listening to him. "If you're going to keep looking over your shoulder, you're going to crack your head open," Tate said. "Well, it's better than Sophia Choi coming after me and cracking it open herself," Holly replied to a surprised Tate.

Holly knew that Tate thought she was crazy, but she knew what she saw. "I saw her. Alive," Holly stressed. "I need you to take me seriously right now. Tate, I'm not wrong about this. I know I saw Sophia last night."

Tate still argued that Holly was seeing things. Holly grew frustrated. "I saw Sophia. I looked her right in the eyes and it wasn't just me who recognized her. She saw me too and totally freaked out. I could tell...But you think I'm stupid."

Tate insisted that he didn't think Holly was stupid, but her mind could still be playing tricks on her. When Mason happened by, Holly stopped him to tell him she had seen Sophia. Mason wanted details, so Holly gave them to him. All Tate could do was roll his eyes. Mason admitted that the voice on the phone sounded just like Sophia, so Tate just rolled his eyes some more.

Xander's Fantasies...and Reality

At the hospital, both Sarah and Xander separately recalled their conversation from the night before in which Xander wanted to remain platonic for now. Soon, Sarah greeted a patient in the free clinic, but as soon as she heard Sarah's name, the patient requested a new doctor.

Back in Xander's room, his next dream consisted of Sarah untying his hospital gown and getting sexy right in the hospital bed. "Don't tell me to leave, Xander," Fantasy Sarah begged. So much for platonic. (At least in Xander's mind.)

The real Sarah soon showed up to disrupt Xander's dreams and talk to him about serious business. As soon as Xander saw Sarah, he moved his pillow to his lap. He was surprised to learn he could be discharged soon because she could medically care for him. "I don't think that's a good idea," Xander said.

Xander moved his pillow back to his head as Sarah tried to figure out what the problem was. "I just think I'd prefer to hire a nurse," Xander said. He could tell Sarah was insulted, so he reiterated it wasn't personal, but it had to do with their previous talk.

Sarah was not happy with the results of their previous talk and it showed. She also admitted that she was being emotional due to the patient who didn't want her care. Xander said he wished he could find the right words to comfort her.

Thankfully, Lani did have the right words. She walked in to tell the pair that George's laptop showed clear evidence of tampering with Destiny Rolland's records. Sarah was eternally grateful and told Xander this was all because of him. "Without you, I'd never be able to prove my innocence. Without you, I'd be...dead. You saved me in more ways than one," Sarah said. "I'd do it again in a heartbeat."

Lani soon asked to speak to Xander alone about the shooting. Sarah was hesitant to leave. When she finally did, Lani told Xander that she had something personal to say. "Xander, I also killed someone in defense of someone else. And I had two small kids at the time. I spent three years in prison," she warned. Lani stressed to Xander that he was a convicted felon and had no right to own a gun, much less an unlicensed one.

"The PD is not going to drop this matter just because you saved someone. My advice is lawyer up. Don't let what happened to me happen to you," she said.

Is Tate being ridiculous? Are the DiMera offspring so naive that they thought they were running a legitimate enterprise? Sound off in the comments.
