Days of our Lives sees several stories taking dramatic turns as the month begins. The hottest Salem plots for August 3 to 7, 2026, feature daring rescues and mysterious escapes. Plus, Alex and Joy get some bad news and the Kiriakis brothers brace for the worst.
DiMera Plots

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Lexie's (Nikki Crawford) plan to switch places does not go quite as planned, as Lexie collapses before she can free Kristen. That's the state that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) finds her in when he brings her back to the DiMera mansion. Later in the week, Lexie bids farewell to her family again, but does she do it honestly this time? Maybe it's time she told Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) the truth.
Meanwhile, Kristen seems to remain in Salem and even pays Rachel (Lorelei Mote) a visit. However, she does this as Susan, so she found a way to stick around Salem until she can bring EJ down.
Cat's (AnnaLynne McCord) quest to bring EJ down goes off the rails when Rafe (Galen Gering) tells her that it was Dimitri (Peter Porte) who kidnapped Gwen (Emily O'Brien) and not EJ. That puts a whole new spin on things. Over in Alamania, Gwen and Leo (Greg Rikaart) have to find a way to escape Dimitri.
What's Wrong With Joy?

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) seem to be at a stalemate this week as Alex pleads with Joy to listen to reason, but she refuses. She will not sign those papers unless it is stipulated that Stephanie (Abigail Klein) will never be near Kelsey.
Stephanie ends up confiding in Theo again, as he has become her newest sounding board. She knows she screwed things up when she was only trying to make things better. However, Joy seems to have a medical emergency this week that changes everything. What could be wrong with her?
Early Celebrations?

Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) thinks his life will soon be going better, so he wants the same for his brother. To that end, Philip locks Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) in close quarters where they find it hard to resist each other.
Later in the week, the Kiriakis brothers get ready to celebrate the windfall that will save Titan. However, they shouldn't celebrate just yet, as something may go wrong. By Friday, the future of Titan is on the line. Will Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) be able to save it?
Is Joy being unreasonable? Is it time for Sarah to give in to her feelings for Xander? Sound off in the comments.
