Days of our Lives begins the new months of September with a big dance, followed by a big trip. The hottest plots for August 31 to September 4, 2026, features a big hospital stay that produces some big dreams, as well as a daddy-daughter dance to remember and more.
Common Ground

While Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) lingers in the hospital, she has way too much time on her hands and finds herself fantasizing about what life would be like if Stephanie (Abigail Klein) were out of the way and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) were all hers.
Joy dreams of Alex carrying her across the threshold and them having a happy family, 1950s-style, with Kelsey. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) brings Joy out of her fantasy life when he confronts her about what she has been up to. He can tell she is playing a little game with Stephanie and Alex and thinks it should stop.
Meanwhile, Alex tries to make things up to Stephanie after their plans went awry last week. The newlyweds find some common ground, but how long will it last?
The Dance

Philip and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) make one last-ditch effort to save Titan Industries this week with that high-stakes poker game. Gabi is surprised when Philip has a proposal at the game.
Later in the week, the Kiriakises are still living in the mansion because that is where Victoria and Xander (Paul Telfer) get ready for the big Daddy-Daughter dance. Brady (Eric Martsolf) is also in attendance with Rachel and Chad (Conner Floyd) is there with Charlotte, which was the reason that he and Belle had to postpone their trip to Italy.
The Trip

After learning more from Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) about his time in the Italian clinic, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) decides that he is going to join Belle (Martha Madison) and Chad in Italy. This is the last thing they want, but they can't stop him from getting on the plane, so they are stuck with him.
It soon becomes apparent that someone is watching the three of them, which means this chess set mystery is more complicated than they seem to believe. Marlena (Deidre Hall) knows this, which is why she hired Steve to do his own investigation. Will they all end up in Italy?
Does someone need to talk sense into Joy? Are Belle and Chad endgame material? Sound off in the comments.
