DAYS Hot Plots July 27 to 31: Guilt for EJ, the Search for Gwen, and Dangerous Kidnappings

Days of our Lives offers us another week where EJ is involved with everything and it may be becoming too much for EJ as well. The hottest plots for the week of July 27 to 31, 2026, are all EJ related once again, which means he is a very tired man.

Mother Knows Best

Perhaps EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) had better listen to both his mother and his ex-mother-in-law. After taunting Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) by visiting Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and playing the doting former stepfather, he meets with Marlena (Deidre Hall), who asks him to listen to his conscience.

Susan does the same thing when she returns to town and worries that her Elvis is turning evil just like his Daddy, the mean, mean, mean Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo).

That doesn't mean that EJ is going to listen to these women because he is still determined to kidnap Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and keep her away from Rachel (Lorelei Mote). What he doesn't know is that Kristen and Lexie (Nikki Crawford) have their own plans.

The Best Laid Plans

Lexie throws an early Christmas celebration for her family before allegedly taking off to see Celeste. However, Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) are surprised to learn that Lexie lied to them about that trip.

Meanwhile, Kristen thinks she can escape Salem before EJ makes his move, but she has to welcome Rachel home from Bayview first. Is that how she ends up kidnapped anyway, which means that Lexie might not end up where she wants to go. What a mess whenever EJ and Kristen are involved.

Finding Gwen

Whether EJ has anything to do with Gwen's (Emily O'Brien) disappearance remains to be seen, but Leo (Greg Rikaart) is convinced that Dimitri (Peter Porte) is the culprit and does his best to get to Alamania to find her.

Does Gwen's kidnapping have to do with the hospital or with Gabi's (Cherie Jimenez) purses? Gabi has a theory about that and no longer blames the Kiriakis brothers. Instead, she tells Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) she thinks EJ and the DiMeras are involved.

As for Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), she is proud to inform Rafe (Galen Gering) that she read Gwen's confession. Does it implicate EJ?
