DAYS Hot Plots October 12 to 16: Stephanie's Suspicions, Kristen and Sophia Scheme, EJ Drops a Bomb

Days of our Lives has a big week on tap as two troublemakers are back. The hottest plots for October 12 to 16, 2026, include Stephanie looking at Joy askance, Sophia and Kristen returning, and EJ with some big news.

Really, Joy?

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) has suspected from the start that Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) has been faking her paralysis and this week, she seems more convinced than ever. When she opens the door to her own apartment, things seem a bit odd. Joy claims she is just learning to navigate her wheelchair, but then goes off on Stephanie for daring to be near Kelsey.

Stephanie takes her suspicions to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), who has also been looking at Joy askance. Something about her whole attitude seemed off, as did her nerve test. Joy seemed awfully tired, which made no sense. In fact, she was also slurring her words.

Stephanie later takes her suspicions to the source when she confronts Joy. She also brings her suspicions to Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), who has already laid down the law with Joy. Is her secret about to be revealed?

They're Back

After finding Sophia (Rachel Boyd) in a Kentucky diner, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) learns where the girl has been all these months before striking a deal with her. Kristen and Sophia then return to Salem, but they each remain hidden.

Now that Brady (Eric Martsolf) knows why Kristen really left town, he is horrified, but he also knows that Rachel (Lorelei Mote) needs her mother. Marlena cautions Brady to be wary of Kristen, but Kristen doesn't care. When she learns about Rachel, she sneaks in to see her. Will she be caught?

The Dominic Marino Mystery

After EJ reveals to Chad that Dominic Marino may be their brother, Chad wants answers. He knows this means that he and Belle could share a brother, so they decide to head further into this mystery together.

Meanwhile, EJ wants Cat back in his life, so he offers to rehire her. That was part of Cat's plan, but now that it has worked, she is not sure what to do. When Cat confides in Marlena, her old boss asks her if she might be falling in love with EJ.
