Days of our Lives' EJ is in trouble once again. According to spoilers for Thursday, July 16, 2026, Lexie goes to Kristen with some big news as Holly tries to figure out what really happened to her.
Careful What You Say

When EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) seethed about his ire at Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) on Monday, he had no idea that Lexie (Nikki Crawford) was awake and could hear his plans. EJ ordered Rita to make sure that the DiMera island was ready for its latest resident. He was sending Kristen there so that she would be separated from her child while leaving his children alone. Hearing that she had contacted Sydney was the last straw. EJ is not about to let Kristen win.
Knowing what her brother is up to causes Lexie to tip off Kristen so that she can save herself. Lexie isn't happy with EJ at the moment for using her as a human guinea pig, so she's glad to have a chance to stick it to him.
What will Kristen do with this information? Will she skip town with Rachel (Lorelei Mote) in order to escape? Marlena (Deidre Hall) is concerned about her granddaughter after her conversation with Kristen, so she might want to watch what Kristen does next.
Holly's Confusion

Although she is on the mend and healing from arsenic poisoning, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is still a hot mess because there is Coriseal in her system and she still doesn't know how it got there. Tate (Leo Howard) is sure that Holly isn't lying and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but it's not easy.
Sarah vents her frustrations to Brady (Eric Martsolf) because she knows there is a missing piece that they are just not seeing. Maybe Brady isn't the right person to talk to, as he insists that Holly has to be covering for drug use.
However, it's EJ who has to cover the most and may be about to do something that will change Holly's life forever. It's his carelessness that got him into this mess, so who will get him out of it? Is this a job for Rita (Maggie Carney)?
