When Days of our Lives fan favorite Sami Brady returns to Salem, she may not be doing so alone! Actress Sydney Malakeh has been cast as Sydney DiMera, Sami's daughter with EJ. Then, more details were shared on Deadline, confirming that the actress would be playing Sydney. The latest cast addition has been receiving nothing but welcoming support from her new co-stars, including Eric Martsolf (Brady), who posted, "Welcome to the party, gurl!!!" Co-stars Robert Scott Wilson (Alexander) and Cherie Jimenez (Gabi) also wrote welcoming words on the IG post. Malakeh's casting has been kept under wraps for quite some time. The show tapes several months in advance, and the actress is set to make her debut on Wednesday, September 9.As evidenced in the Instagram post above, Malakeh certainly has the soap opera dramatic entrance down! She switched Sami's baby with a little girl who was born to Mia (Taylor Spreitler). Sami named this little girl, Grace, believing she was her child. Later, Grace died of bacterial meningitis.As in nearly all switched soap opera baby storylines, the truth came out. Sami reclaimed her daughter. After EJ was shot and burned in a fire, he went to Italy to get medical treatment. Sami moved there along with Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Sydney to be near him. Numerous actors, mostly twins, have played Sydney DiMera over the years. Her portrayers include: Avery and Cade Seger, Hailey and Lauren Sinnema, Elizabeth and Mariam Tovey, Isabelle and Sahara Roberts, Nadia and Talia Hartounian, Berlyn and Brooklyn Baca, and Evelyn Stephenson!
