DAYS head writers Paul Cwickly and Jeanne Marie Ford chatted with TV Insider and shared insights into what's ahead for Salem's favorite psychiatrist, a supercouple torn apart, and an international crime family!
Viewers can expect to see Marlena pulled into a quest that will kick into high gear by the time the fall rolls around. She's going to receive some life-changing news. As for falling in love again, is it too early? Or can love never be scheduled? "Marlena's grief for John [the late, great Drake Hogestyn] is consuming, and she is certainly not looking for love at this time," the scribes share.
Post-traumatic stress disorder
The DiMera siblings and their nephew, Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), are free from being Peter's (Dan Gauthier) prisoners in the family crypt. But the story's far from over for Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), Tony (Thaao Penglis), and Chad (Billy Flynn).
"Their time in the crypt leaves the majority of the DiMeras more united than ever … with the notable exception of Kristen and EJ, who take their family feud to the next level," Cwickly and Ford preview.
Also, watch for Kristen's legal status to be addressed now that the truth has come to light that it was Rachel (Alice Halsey), not Kristen, who shot EJ. Plus, Kristen's anger at EJ over Rachel being in Bayview will continue to play out in a major way.
The Brady bunch
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has said that she just can't envision a future with Xander (Paul Telfer) because he brutally attacked Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Xander's filled with remorse, but that hasn't changed Sarah's mind.
Xander isn't thrilled that Brady moved into the Kiriakis mansion (following a fallout with Marlena), which has put him in Sarah's orbit. Sarah and Brady share a past, one that may lead to a future.
