Days of our Lives: romance will take center stage in Salem in February

Days of our Lives does soap opera romance like no other serial! The show's going to remind its viewers just how well the Peacock drama tells love stories when several characters see their romantic stories kick into overdrive in February!

According to Swooon, there's a lot of romance coming in February! Viewers can expect to see Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) make a surprise decision regarding their wedding. Will the couple decide to go ahead with their ceremony in an effort to show her stalker that he doesn't control her life? Or will the couple call the whole thing off in an attempt to flesh out the person who is obsessed with Stephanie?

Xarah diehard fans will likely always want Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) to get back together. But that just doesn't seem to be in the cards for these two right now, or anytime in the near future! Sarah, rightfully so, can't be around Xander, given the ferocious beating he gave his half-brother, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). Sure, Philip appears to have buried the past with Xander, but Sarah's a different story. Watch for Brady and Sarah to decide to pursue their relationship.

Also, watch for Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Philip to take their romance to the next level in Miami. Will the sparks still be flying when the two return to Salem?

Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) celebrate their wedding anniversary. The two are one of Salem's longest-running couples, and Steve and Kayla's love still runs quite deeply. The duo endured one challenge after another in the 80s, culminating in Steve's "death."

Viewers held out hope that they'd be reunited someday when Steve's coffin was switched! It took about 16 years, but Steve and Kayla were finally reunited!

Another couple that harkens back to the glorious 1980s is Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Watch for these two fan favorites to look back fondly on past Valentine's Days.

Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) are another loving duo set to celebrate the holiday associated with Cupid and candy!
