EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) thinks he has it all under his control, but sometimes things don't go quite as planned. The good news is that Johnny (Carson Boatman) is willing to accept his father back into his life — with limits. After he helped them at Trey's adoption hearing, even Chanel (Raven Bowens) was happy and told Johnny that she is okay with him re-establishing a relationship with EJ, as long as he understands that there are boundaries.

To that end, Johnny visits with his father and asks him for a favor. EJ is thrilled that Johnny has come to him to ask for help, but what does Johnny need? Does this have anything to do with Bonnie's (Judi Evans) book, which looks like it was plagiarized?

Titan is threatening to sue, but Johnny wants to fight them. He hates to think he made a mistake by agreeing to publish the book, but it might be better to just settle. Then again, Johnny might want his dad's help with protecting Trey now that Sophia has been set loose in Salem and has a score to settle.

Meanwhile, Chanel is curious if her mother's problems have resolved themselves, so she questions Paulina (Jackee Harry). If Paulina tells Chanel the truth, that could put EJ's plans on ice in record time. Will Paulina risk Lexie's newly resurrected life just to have someone to confide in?

About Bonnie's book...

Bonnie is on cloud nine when the published copies of One Rainy Afternoon arrive at the Kiriakis mansion. Justin (Wally Kurth) looks at the book for the first time and something seems strange. Justin questions Bonnie and tells his wife that her book sounds an awful lot like One Stormy Night, but Bonnie tries to brush that off.

She may have used Stephanie's (Abigail Klein) book for inspiration, but it doesn't mean that she plagiarized. Justin does his best to get his wife to see reason and realize that she did indeed plagiarize from a copyrighted book and that could put her and DiMera Enterprises in a whole lot of trouble.
