Days of our Lives Spoilers August 14: The Race to Find Lexie Brings Chaotic Results

Days of our Lives ends the week with a huge day. According to spoilers for Friday, August 14, 2026, Chad and Theo make a shocking discovery, Johnny feels guilt, and Chanel gets a big surprise.

Getting to the Truth

A night at the Bistro celebrating Abe's (James Reynolds) birthday turns into anything but a celebration for Abe. Now that Marlena (Deidre Hall) has told Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) that Lexie (Nikki Crawford) is dying again and he should check out the DiMera tunnels, Chad (Conner Floyd) and Theo force Rita (Maggie Carney) to let them down there. That's where Theo discovers his mother and learns that his worst fears have come true.

But that also means that Theo has to find his father, who is enjoying his time with Johnny (Carson Boatman), Chanel (Raven Bowens), and Lani (Sal Stowers). They try to have a light time of it despite knowing that Lexie weighs heavily on Abe's mind.

And guilt weighs heavily on Johnny's mind. He knew that getting mixed up with his father's business again was a big mistake, but he did it anyway and now he has his hands in way too many illegal and amoral things. That won't bode well for his marriage with a wife with cancer and another baby on the way.

Johnny doesn't have much time to think about that because Chad stops by to tell Abe that he needs to come with him right away. They found Lexie and it does not look good.

As The Night Goes On

Abe leaves with Chad and finds Lexie in her DiMera tunnels bedroom on her deathbed. It doesn't look like she has long, so Abe got there just in the nick of time. Abe and Lexie are grateful to have had this second chance that most people never get, but it's heartbreaking to have to go through this all over again.

Lexie had wanted to spare Abe and Theo this heartache, but there was no way they were going to let her go through this alone.

As for Johnny and Chanel, this week's preview shows Chanel going into labor. Since that hasn't happened yet, we can see how we might be ending the week for two young expectant parents.
