Days of our Lives' happiest young couple is about to expand their family on Monday as Chanel is in labor. According to spoilers for August 14, 2026, Chanel is at the hospital ready to meet her new baby with her loved ones by her side.
Labor Pains

Chanel (Raven Bowens) has really believed she was having Braxton-Hicks contractions, so when she realizes it's the real deal, Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Paulina (Jackee Harry) rush her to the hospital right away, which is where Kayla takes charge.
Chanel appears to be having a natural birth a few weeks ahead of schedule, but she has Johnny by her side holding her hands. Lani (Sal Stowers) and Paulina are also there with gifts and present Chanel with a onesie for Trey that names him as the big brother.
This has been a complicated and difficult pregnancy for Chanel and being diagnosed with breast cancer certainly didn't help, but she made it and now can begin treatment in earnest so she can be there for both of her children. But will she develop more complications from her cancer once the baby is born?
Chanel will have a very long road ahead of her, but the first task at hand is delivering a healthy baby.
Gwen's Return

Gwen (Emily O'Brien) is back in Salem and seems to have a deal with Rafe (Galen Gering), but will she stick to it? Rafe is not sure what Gwen plans to do, so he takes her to the Salem PD first to get more information out of her and show her what life could be like if she doesn't cooperate.
Gwen is a very wealthy woman, so if she does cooperate, she can live the life she has always dreamed of. Jada (Elia Cantu) presents her with a piece of paper. Is this his ticket to freedom?
As for Rafe, he also has to head home and tell Javi the results of the trip to Alamania. Will he inform Javi (Jacob Martinez) that Leo (Greg Rikaart) voluntarily stayed with Dimitri? Will he also tell Javi that Leo did this to free Gwen and seemed to have no interest in being with Dimitri whatsoever?
What should Johnny and Chanel name their baby? Are you rooting for a Leo and Javi reunion? Share your thoughts in the comments.
