Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Abe (James Reynolds) have been at the hospital all week, praying for a miracle or for Lexie (Nikki Crawford) to at least hold on a few more weeks. But that doesn't seem meant to be. Lexie never wanted her husband and son to go through this again, but EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) left them no other choice by trying to play God.

However, humans are not supposed to be brought back to life by mad scientists, so Lexie's second chance at life is up and Abe and Theo are forced to say goodbye to her once again. But at least they found her in time to get this chance.

Elsewhere, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) also share a few sad moments as they remember their son, David, who was stillborn several years ago. Now, they have twins Jules and Carver and a happy life, and a new arrival is set to make his or her appearance in the Salem world soon.

Both Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) were terrified when Chanel's water broke and there was blood. That meant that something had to be wrong. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) checks Chanel and tells her that her labor will likely go faster now that her water has broken.

However, that doesn't mean things will be easy or smooth. Blood is never a good sign, so Kayla has to take extra precautions. This has been a long labor for Chanel, so her body is getting tired.

It's also been a long and difficult pregancy that included a frightened and reluctant father and a breast cancer diagnosis. Chemotherapy wore Chanel out and now this baby is doing the rest. Will Chanel end up with an emergency C-section?

Spoilers say that we see the circle of life in Salem, indicating that Lexie passes away again just as another DiMera-Carver is being born.

What should Johnny and Chanel name their baby? What are your thoughts on the Lexie storyline? Sound off in the comments.
