Days of our Lives ends the week with heartache in the Kiriakis house and questions in the DiMera house. According to spoilers for Friday, August 8, 2026, it looks like the end of the road for the Kiriakis fortune.
Can They Resist?
Xander (Paul Telfer) has done everything he can to save his father's company and his family home, but it looks like it's too late. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) had one more literal gamble before the end of the month and Xander has heard no follow-up. He can only assume that Philip was unable to come up with the money and they are going to have to sell the house.
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is there to comfort Xander, despite their divorced status and her relationship with Brady (Eric Martsolf). Sarah now claims she loves Brady, but she becomes flustered any time she is around Xander. The chemistry is still there, as is the love, but Brady just feels safer and easier.
When Sarah comforts Xander, can they resist one another? They came close to giving into their feelings in the wine cellar a few weeks ago, but have tap danced around that incident ever since. With everything on the line for Titan and the family, will Xander and Sarah get a little too close?
That Chess Set
Now that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) knows Chad (Conner Floyd) has been helping Belle (Martha Madison) figure out just why Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) left her parents a chess set in his will, he wants to know more about it. He thought it was innocuous at first, but now he is having memories and is sure he knows something. To that end, EJ questions his brother about what he and Belle have found.
Chad knows that whenever EJ starts asking way too many questions, he must have an ulterior motive. Chad isn't sure if he wants to give EJ the answers he is looking for.

Marlena (Deidre Hall) isn't sure she wants Belle to find answers and still tries to talk her out of going to Italy. Marlena also gives Belle a very special keepsake. Is it from John and will it give Belle any clues?
