Days of our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, tease a bittersweet day in Salem as Chad leaves town.

After a farewell tour that oddly took him to Belle Black's (Martha Madison) side on Valentine's Day, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is packing up his bags, his car, and his kids. They are headed to Arizona to spend some time with Sonny (Zach Tinker) and Will (Chandler Massey). What seemed to be a little vacation now appears to be something more, as Chad acts as if he will never return to Salem again.

Chad makes the rounds, saying more goodbyes to friends and family, and of course stops at Abigail's grave. Despite not being sure where her remains are, Chad still feels a connection at this site. He places a Conversation Heart (once known as Sweethearts) on her headstone and tells her Happy Valentine's Day. He also looks at photos of his late wife around the Horton house.

Chad and the kids say goodbye to Jack (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), as Julie is ready to usher in more relatives before they've even slammed the door behind them. Jack and Jennifer are also ready to head back to Boston, but at least Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) will soon be there.

Valentine's Day continues in Salem as two more couples share romantic nights. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) celebrate the annual holiday, as well as their anniversary, at The Bistro, but they have no idea what their precious baby girl just did. They just want to enjoy one another, while not thinking of anyone else.

As for that precious baby girl, well, she is now a grown married woman after eloping with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). Even Alex wasn't expecting to be married on Valentine's Day, but Stephanie (Abigail Klein) had a big surprise in store.

Alex and Stephanie enjoy their wedding night in Chicago before they have to break the news to her parents that they didn't get to attend their daughter's wedding. Their witness and maid of honor makes her way back to Salem to enjoy her own Valentine's Day date, if he can even keep his attention on her.
