Days of our Lives Spoilers July 7: EJ Plays With Fire as Lexie Gets Burned

Days of our Lives' EJ is in the hot seat again on Tuesday. According to the latest spoilers for July 7, 2026, Lexie takes EJ to task, while Cat does her best to remember her past.

Bad News for EJ, Part 1

EJ's (Daniel Feuerriegel) week already started off on a bad note when Johnny (Carson Boatman) chewed him out for tricking him into doing his dirty work. Johnny realized his father cared much more about saving face than saving Holly (Ashley Puzemis). Then, EJ got a punch in the face as he tried to break up the cat fight between Gwen (Emily O'Brien) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) in his living room. EJ's life does not get any better on Tuesday.

After Lexie's latest meeting with Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) and her beautiful July 4th evening with Abe (James Reynolds) watching the fireworks, she feels more distraught than ever. She is going to have to leave her family again and it's all because of EJ.

If EJ hadn't chosen to play God, she never would have had this chance to start, but this chance has brought her even more heartache. Now, Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Abe are going to have to grieve her all over again. Lexie tears into her brother for bringing her back just so she and Abe could fall in love again and be torn apart again.

This is just another fire for EJ to put out, but he doesn't have any idea about the one brewing in Marlena's (Deidre Hall) office.

Now that Andrew (Colton Little) has sanctioned it and assured Cat that Marlena is cleared with the ISA, Cat decides it's time she allows her former boss to hypnotize her. Will Cat give away that she is really an ISA agent when she asks Marlena to do this for her?

What will Cat reveal while under hypnosis? Perhaps EJ was awake during part of the time he was in that hospital and more went on between him and Cat than either one of them realizes. Will Marlena want Cat and EJ to compare notes or participate in a session together?
