EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) is sure he has just been behind the invention of a serum that can defy death itself. First, it brought a rat back to life and then it brought his sister back to life. Lexie (Nikki Crawford) seems fit and healthy and ready to reclaim all that was hers before brain cancer took her from her family.

EJ also thinks he can make billions by marketing the drug and is ready to give it to Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) to cure her mother's dementia. Unfortunately, EJ is about to learn that his chance to play God might be a bit premature.

Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) is forced to tell EJ that one of the resurrected rats has died, which means it's only a matter of time before Lexie is also dead again. An alarmed and outraged EJ insists that there has to be something Rolf can do to fix this mess.

Can't the mad scientist administer Lexie another dose? Does Rolf even have data on what happens if you do that? EJ is going to realize he has a mess of his own making on his hands to clean up.

Sarah's big mistake?

Xander (Paul Telfer) is there for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) as she deals with what happened to her new patient, Destiny (Sarah Batholemew). She was sure the girl only had the stomach flu, but when she passed out in Horton Town Square, Sarah jumped to action. She couldn't believe it when she couldn't find a pulse.

Xander is right there for Sarah as they call an ambulance to rush Destiny to Salem University Hospital. Spoilers say that Xander has to comfort a devastated Sarah, so does that mean Destiny dies? Will Sarah beat herself up for sending a patient home who was seriously ill? Xander does the best he can to be an emotional support for Sarah, so how will Brady (Eric Martsolf) feel about this?
