Days of our Lives Spoilers, June 5: Moments of truth for Johnny and Theo

Days of our Lives ends the week with some next-generation DiMera drama. According to spoilers for Friday, June 5, 2026, Theo has a big decision to make and Johnny questions Chanel's decision.

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) is determined to keep Johnny (Carson Boatman) on as the DiMera CEO. After all, he went to great lengths to get Theo to give up the job, so he is not about to give up now. But EJ also understands Johnny's need to be there for his young family. So, he gets the idea to get Johnny some help, so who else does EJ turn to but Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews)?

Theo didn't want to give up the CEO position, but EJ made him believe that Lexie (Nikki Crawford) would disapprove if he stayed on. Then, Theo and Abe (James Reynolds) both got the shock that Lexie wanted him to be CEO. That was quite an accomplishment, after all.

So, EJ goes to Theo and asks him to be Johnny's second in command. It would get both younger men working at the helm of DiMera Enterprises and take the pressure off Johnny so he can focus on Chanel (Raven Bowens) and her health. Will Theo accept being second in command? Probably. But will Lexie accept that for her son? Probably not.

Meanwhile, Abe is having a hard time adjusting to Lexie's return and her brand-new attitude, so he leans on Marlena (Deidre Hall) for support.

After meeting with the oncologist, Chanel was more alarmed than ever. Not only did the doctor have a terrible bedside manner, but he wouldn't even explain to her the risks that chemo would have on her baby. That led Chanel to decide she would not seek cancer treatment while still pregnant.

Johnny had promised to stand by Chanel's side, no matter what she chose to do. However, now she is talking about risking her own life for the sake of their unborn child. Chanel's cancer might only be stage 2, but the tumor is growing rapidly and the cancer could advance by the time she gives birth.
