Days of our Lives Spoilers October 1: Melinda Goes After Sarah, Joy Takes a Dangerous Risk

Days of our Lives has drama on tap to begin the new month. According to spoilers provided by the soap for Thursday, October 1, 2026, Sarah's case takes an ugly turn and Joy's plot takes a dangerous one.

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is still reeling from learning Destiny's parents filed a lawsuit against her when things take a turn for the worse. Apparently, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Rita (Maggie Carney) have Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) on board to handle this lawsuit and make Sarah's life a living hell.

Melinda makes a public spectacle of things with a press conference in the square and publicly accuses Sarah of negligence and medical malpractice. She was in a rush to get a non-paying patient out of a free clinic and didn't do her due diligence, according to Melinda (and the DiMeras).

Sarah has both Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Xander (Paul Telfer) by her side through this, but she is also going to need a good lawyer. Is this a job for Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth)?

However, Brady also has other things on his mind as he supports Marlena (Deidre Hall) through her Dominic Marino discovery. He will keep this news quiet, but he knows this is a hard thing for his mother to bear, if it is even true.

Joy's Dangerous Plot

Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) is still enjoying her stay at the hospital doing nothing but reading books and complaining, since nothing is actually wrong with her. That doesn't mean she is going to admit she is perfectly fine. That would mean she would have to take care of her baby again. She'd much rather Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) do that and be at her beck and call.

To that end, Joy needs to take those muscle relaxers before her big test. She doesn't think about the fact that taking too many could cause a big problem. But she is not about to let anyone know she has feelings in her legs and can walk. Muscle relaxers are her only solution.
