Days of our Lives' Lani is heading for a new life on Tuesday, but will she want it? According to spoilers from Corday Productions for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Jada makes an offer, and so does EJ. It looks like it's career day in Salem this week.
Police Business

Paulina (Jackee Harry) wasn't about to take no for an answer when the governor refused to offer Lani (Sal Stowers) a pardon. She persisted and not it looks like her persistance has paid off.
Lani is in a state of shock when Jada (Elia Cantu) offers her a spot on the Salem PD. Apparently, her pardon has come through and she is eligible to be a cop again. Lani never thought she would have this chance to do the work she loved so much, but thanks to her appearance on Leo's (Greg Rikaart) podcast, it can now happen.
Paulina sent the podcast recording to the governor, so he now knows what a hero Lani was when she rescued Holly (Ashley Puzemis) from that mugger. Will Lani feel uncomfortable taking the job since she received special treatment, or will she happily accept her badge back?
Lani has needed a new direction in life, but why not go in her old direction? Salem needs another cop and Lani is the answer.
Another Big Job Offer

Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) played her cards right when she quit her job because she knew EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) wouldn't allow it to last and she was right. EJ wants Cat back so he begs her to be his trusty assistant again. That means either EJ believes that she is no longer ISA or he wants to keep his eyes on her. Will Cat play hard to get, so to speak, or will she readily accept the offer?
As for Chad (Conner Floyd) and Belle (Martha Madison), they are more determined than ever to get to the bottom of the Dominic Marino mystery. Knowing that Dominic could be their brother changes everything. However, something seems off with this whole scenario, so they have some more problems to solve. What will Belle and Chad find as they dig some more?
