Days of our Lives Spoilers September 23: Angry EJ Confronts Johnny

Days of our Lives' EJ is back in Salem and ready to spar with more family members. This time, his son Johnny is on the receiving end. According to spoilers for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, EJ has it out with Johnny, Marlena reunites with Sydney, and Maggie remains a nervous wreck.

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) was in for quite a few surprises when he returned to Salem from Italy and none of them made him happy. First, Titan is able to pay off its loan, but more concerning is the Coriseal mess. Being slapped with a lawsuit from the hospital prompted EJ to make sure that Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was slapped with her own lawsuit.

EJ also knows that Johnny (Carson Boatman) has been running his mouth, which prompted Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) to quit his job as co-CEO. EJ is furious with Johnny for not 100 percent toeing the company line. Johnny can't allow a guilty conscience to interfere with his job.

However, this is precisely the reason Johnny didn't want to be CEO to begin with. Chanel (Raven Bowens) was against it and warned Johnny that EJ would want him to do nefarious things and he would get in too deep and now that is exactly what has happened. Will EJ try to coerce his son into staying on by telling him that it's too late to turn back now?

Sydney (Sydney Malakeh) is also back in Salem and reunites with her grandmother at the Brady Pub. Marlena (Deidre Hall), Belle (Martha Madison), and Sydney all catch up over a meal, but Marlena and Belle also have to warn Sydney that they are concerned about her...and her father.

Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) also has some concerns after learning that Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander (Paul Telfer) can now save Titan, but the money came form Philip's gambling winnings. She opens up to Julie and expresses her concerns. There is something not right about all of this, especially this mystery man who just bought her house.

And finally, Theo goes to Abe for advice. From quitting his job to having feelings for a married woman, Theo is going through a rough patch. Will Abe have any words of wisdom for his son?
