Days of our Lives Spoilers September 7: Joy's Demands Grow Louder and Stronger

Days of our Lives starts the new week with some marital and medical trouble. According to spoilers for Monday, September 2, 2026, Joy wants more from Alex, while Theo's suspicions continue to grow.

Caught in the Middle

After a lovely afternoon in the park while Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) watched Kelsey, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) came to an understanding and vowed to make time for each other and their marriage. Alex had no intention of letting Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) make all these demands without fighting back, but she was in the hospital now, so it might not be the right time.

However, Joy continues to make things difficult as she once again puts Alex between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his daughter. She puts Alex in another difficult position that will likely make him choose between his wife and his child again.

Is Joy's latest crisis real or manufactured? She definitely has a medical problem, but she also wants Stephanie out of the way. Does she lose her mind when she learns that Alex allowed Stephanie's parents to watch the baby? That would certainly make things a lot more difficult for Alex to navigate things with his wife and child.

Johnny's Troubles

Despite telling Chanel (Raven Bowens) that he wasn't hiding any more secrets about his father, Johnny (Carson Boatman) is still hiding secrets about his father and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) knows it. In fact, he doesn't trust Johnny at all anymore and wonders what else his cousin might be keeping close to the vest.

Will Theo's latest suspicions lead him to find someone to confide in? With Joy causing problems for Alex, it's a pretty good bet that Stephanie's available with a shoulder to lean on.

Chanel also doesn't know if she can trust her husband, but she wants to believe him. She goes in for her next treatment with Paulina (Jackee Harry) by her side and confides her fears in her mother. Paulina tries to be a support, but she also doesn't trust EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) at this point.
