DAYS Spoilers August 5: Alex Pleads With Joy, Lexie Says Goodbye

Days of our Lives heads into midweek with an emotional and dramatic episode. According to spoilers for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Alex makes a heartfelt plea to Joy and Lexie gets her affairs in order...again.

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) just wants to sign the custody agreement papers and peacefully co-parent his daughter, but the grown women in his life don't want to make that easy. Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) is perfectly reasonable to be wary of Stephanie (Abigail Klein) after Stephanie pulled a gun on her and then pulled the trigger. Joy knows that it was an accident, but it was still a pretty crazy thing to do.

But Joy is not even willing to entertain the idea that Stephanie can get better through therapy and won't be a danger to Kelsey for the next 18 years. Stephanie's attitude and accusations didn't help the matter, so now Alex needs to smooth things over.

He goes to Joy in earnest and begs her to listen to reason. He wants to be a good dad to Kelsey, but he is also not about to give up his marriage. Stephanie comes with the package and he needs Joy to accept that. Will she consider what he has to say or will something else get in the way first?

Lexie's Sad Plight

Rather than dying on DiMera island, Lexie (Nikki Crawford) has agreed to die again in the DiMera mansion, but she also has to say more goodbyes. She already bid farewell to Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Abe (James Reynolds), so who does she say goodbye to now? Does anyone besides EJ and Rita (Maggie Carney) know where she is?

Paulina (Jackee Harry) knows that there is something odd going on with Lexie, but she can't quite put her finger on what it is. She asks Lani (Sal Stowers) for help in figuring out what the heck is going on. Paulina is sure that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) has to be behind whatever it is.

As for Theo, he also seems to realize that his mother is not being on the up and up and finds himself opening up to Stephanie. Theo and Stephanie might become unlikely friends through two very different ordeals.
