Days of our Lives ends the week with devastation and danger. According to spoilers for Friday, August 7, 2026, Joy gets a big surprise in Salem while Dimitri gets a huge surprise in Alamania.
No Joy For Joy
Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) has not made life easier for anyone this week as she has dug in her heels about Stephanie (Abigail Klein) being around Kelsey and also plots to win Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) for herself. As she sits with Javi at the Brady Pub, Joy starts to feel pain in her arm, so Javi (Jacob Martinez) needs to come to her rescue.
Meanwhile, Alex is in Horton Town Square learning the latest Titan news. He thought the family company was home free, thanks to Gabi's (Cherie Jimenez) generosity, but now they need to pay back the whole loan by the end of the month.
Alex is still reeling from that information when he learns about Joy and is there to support her when she receives devastating news. Does Joy have a medical problem stemming from her recent car accident neck injury or is there something else wrong?
Is it possible that Joy is going to need surgery, which means that Alex will have to take care of Kelsey? What will he do about Stephanie, who pours out her heart to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) over everything that has been going on with Alex and Joy? Will she mention that Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) is also now her confidante?
Over in Alamania...
Things become precarious in Alamania as Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Gwen (Emily O'Brien) try to think of a way to escape Dimitri (Peter Porte). The crazed man did all of this to try and win Leo back, but it's not going to work. Leo knows he dodged a bullet and only wants Javi, but first, he has to find a way back to Salem.
Leo and Gwen come up with a plan to trick Dimitri using Leo's concussion. They know that Dimitri doesn't want anything to happen to Leo, but Dimitri is also a former ISA agent, so he may see right through their little trick.

Back in Salem, Javi is determined to get to Leo. He knows he is in danger and tells Rafe that he is off to rescue him.
