DAYS Spoilers July 29: Susan Has an Ominous Warning for EJ

Days of our Lives brings Susan back into the Salem fold, as spoilers for Wednesday, July 29, 2026, show EJ's mother returning to town to have a long and serious talk with her son.

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) has been out of control lately with his hands in just about every plot. From Lexie's (Nikki Crawford) resurrection to Holly's (Ashley Puzemis) arsenic poisoning, EJ is everywhere and seeming more and more like Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) by the day. And that's what has his mother alarmed.

Susan returns to Salem to tell her Elvis that she has a very bad feeling. She was sure that Stefano was still alive last year, but that proved to not be true. But what if she was feeling Stefano's evil inside her son?

Susan is a panicked mess when she warns EJ that he is becoming more and more like his mean, mean, mean Daddy every day. Could it have something to do with that ring EJ is wearing? He seemed to change in an instant when Rolf (Richard Wharton) handed it to him, but EJ was already working on his Lexie plot before that.

Speaking of Lexie, she is still planning her escape, but also gets caught in a lie. Will she tell Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) what's really going on when they plan a big surprise for her?

Better Times for Chanel?

Johnny (Carson Boatman) is still reeling after his fight with his father. He now knows that EJ is still the same man he was last year and cares about the company more than she seems to care about actual people. Perhaps Chanel (Raven Bowens) was right about him possibly getting hurt if he worked for DiMera Enterprises again.

But for now Chanel is hurting and tired, and pregnant with cancer. And this is all happening while she is trying to care for a toddler. Johnny decides to take the focus off his father and work and point it toward his wife and son. Johnny does his best to cheer up Chanel by taking some responsibilities from her, but a visit from Javi (Jacob Martinez) might complicate things.
