Days of our Lives starts off a new month with a consequential week. According to the latest spoilers video preview for August 3 to 7, 2026, EJ makes a shocking discovery, Sarah and Xander share some close moments, Alamania sees some action, and Joy has a big problem.
EJ's Big Plan

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) thinks he has Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) right where he wants her, but that doesn't seem to be the case. When he opens that cargo container, he is shocked by what he sees.
The last we saw Kristen was still trapped in there and Lexie (Nikki Crawford) passed out while trying to pick the lock. We know from preview photos that Lexie ends up back at the DiMera mansion, but something tells us that Kristen somehow gets out of that container anyway.
Susan visits Rachel (Lorelei Mote) with a message this week, but who wants to bet that it's really Kristen posing as Susan?
Close Quarters

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer) find themselves sharing some close moments this week when Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) makes sure they spend some time together, whether they like it or not.
They appear to like it quite a lot, but will they give in to their feelings or will Sarah keep telling herself that Brady (Eric Martsolf) is the better option because he's the safer option? Brady is never lucky in love, and it's about time another woman dumps him. Maybe he should just be with Kristen already since she only seems to behave when they are together.
Around Salem...and Alamania

Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) seems to have some problems this week, which is nothing new for Joy. However, these problems seem legit and serious. Will Stephanie (Abigail Klein) learn another lesson?
Rafe (Galen Gering) realizes that EJ wasn't the one who kidnapped Gwen (Emily O'Brien). Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) is shocked to hear that Dimitri von Leuchner (Peter Porte) was behind the plot.
Over in Alamania, Dimitri reveals himself to Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Gwen, but also seems to have them right where he wants them. Are there any surprises in store in the form of Vivian (Louise Sorel) and Ivan (Ivan G'Vera)? Maybe Stefan (Brandon Barash) is even there. Is Dimitri behind what happened to all of them?
Are Sarah and Xander endgame? Do you sympathize with Lexie or are you exasperated by this plot? Sound off in the comments.
