Holly's Fierce Denials Alarm Sarah and Xander on Days of our Lives

Days of our Lives' Holly still doesn't know what is happening to her, but she knows she didn't take drugs. According to the latest spoilers for Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Holly continues to deny all accusations, so Sarah is not sure what to believe.

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) was not about to let her loved ones accuse her of taking Coriseal and then keep her in the hospital under lock and key when there is no reason for her to be there. So, she snuck out, but someone must find her because she is set to keep denying doing drugs.

The audience knows that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) slipped them into her bag to cover up his own tainted Coriseal mess, but Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has no idea. She just wants to help her niece, so she turns to Xander (Paul Telfer) for help. He is the one who brought Holly the bag, so maybe he knows how those pills went in there.

Xander has his own problems, all thanks to EJ, so he is willing to suspect him of anything. Will Xander convince Sarah that something is off and EJ's hands are all over this mess?

As for EJ, he confides his growing concerns in Rita (Maggie Carney). What if people start to suspect the mess he caused on Smith Island? He also has to worry about his plan to kidnap Kristen, which is only going to result in him kidnapping Lexie (Nikki Crawford).

Meanwhile, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) is determined to get to the bottom of her fake purse mess. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander deny any wrongdoing, but she is sure they are somehow involved. Too bad she can't seem to locate Gwen (Emily O'Brien) for help.

However, she does run into Leo (Greg Rikaart), who also can't seem to locate Gwen. While Leo smells a hot story and a missing BFF, Gwen thinks she found an investigative mind to help her. Despite there being no love lost between them, Gabi and Leo team up for a mutual cause.

Little do they know that Gwen has been kidnapped and EJ is likely the man who is holding her hostage. After all, he can't allow her to get her hands on his hospital.
