A recent video of a 9/11 survivor has gone viral along with his story. In the video, the survivor, Mike Benfante, reveals the traumatic situation that unfolded before his eyes after the chaos began following the terrorist attack on 11 September 2001.

In the comment section of the video, another commentator further unveiled the details of the survivor's reunion with his wife. Here are the details of the 9/11 witness video and the story that has warmed the hearts of the viewers.

9/11 witness opens up about the story of a reunion

In the viral 9/11 rescue video, an interviewer asks Mike Benfante, who was working on the 81st floor of the building, about what happened. Benfante reveals that there were “40 people” around him during the explosion. He saw “light flashed” right outside his window, which caused the “doorway” to his office to blow open. Though he told his colleagues to calm down, chaos ensued. He soon began to go down the steps when he came across a woman in a wheelchair on the 68th floor, which caused him to stop.

Instead of saving his own life, Mike decided to strap the woman's wheelchair and carry her down the steps, eventually saving her life from the 9/11 incident. A witness further revealed in the comment section details of this heroic rescue. The witness revealed that this woman in the wheelchair was not only rescued from the 9/11 incident but also reunited with her husband.

While the terrorist attack took place, a witness was standing in “Lower Manhattan” and watching the whole incident unfold. A man was standing beside this witness, and the witness saw the man collapse. When asked, the man revealed that his wife was “in the tower” and was also in a wheelchair. The man began to cry profusely while speaking about his wife. However, the witness came across this man once again after a week and saw the man with his wife, connecting the story of Mike Benfante. Here is the comment,

Omg. This completes a story I have been telling for years: “This single 9/11 memory had a happy ending... I was standing in Lower Manhattan with Evan in the stroller, helplessly watching. When the first building collapsed, the man next to me collapsed. I wrapped my arms around him while he sobbed uncontrollably that his wife was in that tower in a wheelchair. A week later, I saw this same man at CVS - with his wife, in her wheelchair.”

The tragedy that struck on that day, when two planes struck the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, causing immense destruction and the loss of multiple lives, has left a mark on the minds of the people and has become a transformative point for the world. Though most of the stories related to the incident have been of loss, this particular rescue of a woman in a wheelchair resonates deeply.
