A Letter to My Youth showcases that Kefas was a caring person inside the orphanage. But he developed mistrust for authorities and elders around him. He was suspended from school for his actions. Kefas kept doing mischief in the orphanage to enrage the elders.

Meanwhile, Simon was working as a caretaker and was loved by children. His wife and children had passed away and he knew what loneliness felt like. He only took up the job for the money. But Simon kept thinking about his death as he was sad and alone. He thought of ending his life once he was done with this job.

Later, Simon left the job of caretaker. Kefas stumbled upon his personal diary, which mentioned his plans to die by suicide. He shared this information with Sabrina and the other children.
