A24 announces Peaked starring Emma Mackey while Connor Storrie is in talks to star

Molly Gordon's Peaked is one of A24’s newest comedies and the casting news is here. Emma Mackey is confirmed to star, while Connor Storrie is currently in talks to join the film's cast. The project comes from Molly Gordon and Allie Levitan and the film will be directed by Gordon herself. The film will be about former high school mean girls chasing their past glory at a reunion.

Emma Mackey leads Peaked as A24 picks up on a high school reunion comedy setup

Peaked is the new A24 comedy starring Emma Mackey. The story will follow two grown adult women who were once feared/the mean girls back in high school, and are now trying to relive those exact moments at their ten-year school reunion.

Molly Gordon and Allie Levitan have created the project together and will also appear on screen. Gordon is stepping behind the camera too, making this a personal and tightly controlled film from start to finish.

A24 will be looking after the finance and will be producing the film, and an A24 film means the bars are already high because the studio is pretty much well known for picking scripts that are unique, and the production house is also known for letting creators take risks that they feel like would work.

Along with Emma Mackey, the cast already includes Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Laura Dern, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, and Levitan herself. Behind the scenes, the filming for the movie is expected to begin soon, and the buzz is growing fast.

Connor Storrie’s next move after Heated Rivalry could just peak with A24's Peaked

Connor Storrie might be heading straight from a queer hockey show into A24's newest comedy film. The actor, who broke out with Crave's Heated Rivalry, is being eyed to join Emma Mackey in Peaked.

If the deal goes through well and fine, this will be his first major role ever since Heated Rivalry got huge and exploded in popularity in late 2025. His role in the film has not been revealed as he's still "in talks" to join, but his name being attached to the project itself is pulling in a lot of attention from his fans.

Heated Rivalry also turned Storrie into a rising name almost overnight, and the show is based on Rachel Reid’s novels. It follows two professional hockey rivals whose relationship evolves over the years, and after its release on Crave and HBO Max, it soon built a huge cult following and even scored a Season 2.

Since then, Storrie has stayed in the spotlight with high-profile appearances. He is also set to host Saturday Night Live soon and joining Peaked would keep that momentum going, and to top that off, it would place him inside one of A24’s most recent projects.

With Emma Mackey, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Laura Dern, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, and Levitan locked in, and with Connor Storrie in talks, Peaked is all set to steer the gears for production soon.
