The trailer for A24’s Onslaught boasts a chilling warning: “To stop a killing machine, you must become one.”

This sets the haunting tone for Adam Wingard's upcoming action thriller film, starring Adria Arjona as a former soldier forced to go against a rogue squad of genetically modified super-soldiers. The official synopsis for the movie reads as follows:

''A mother living in a trailer park struggles to protect her family from a threat that has escaped from a secret military facility.''

Adam Wingard is best known for his works in the horror and action genres, especially films like Godzilla vs. Kong and its sequel Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Adam Wingard's Onslaught 2026 trailer kicks off with Adria Arjona's Celeste, a former soldier and a single mother living off the grid in a trailer park with her young daughter. As a fellow soldier advises Celeste to ''get her sh*t together'' and go back into her world, she maintains that she wants to raise her daughter in peace and safety. Moments later, the trailer becomes tense as Celeste notices a familiar Blackhawk helicopter hovering back and forth in her area.

The Onslaught trailer takes a haunting turn as it reveals the helicopter's cargo: experimental super-soldiers from a top-secret facility. These genetically engineered super-soldiers are designed as human equivalents of a missile and pose an immense threat to Adria Arjona's character and her daughter. In one scene from the trailer, Celeste describes these genetic monsters as:

''These men are conditioned to kill until they are stopped.''

The movie positions the genetic soldiers as monsters, ready to take down the populace. The trailer concludes with a fast-moving montage of action-packed sequences as Celeste gears up to take out her powerful foes (using a chainsaw) and protect her daughter. On the other hand, tensions escalate as the government launches its own mission to recapture the super soldiers and to cover their destructive tracks.
