It Ends With Us director and actor Justin Baldoni has finally opened up about the lawsuit involving his co-star Blake Lively. On July 9, the actor shared a video on Instagram saying that they stayed silent for the past two years because it never felt like the right time to speak publicly, even though they wanted to, adding that this felt like the right time to do so.

Baldoni's wife, Emily, was also present in the video where they talked to their followers and social media audience about the lawsuit. Speaking to his followers, Baldoni said that they are not going to talk about everything. His wife, Emily, agreed with him and said that they feel huge gratitude for the people who stood by them and for everything that has happened. Baldoni added:

"Gratitude has saved us."

In the Instagram video, Justin Baldoni's wife said that while they are grateful today, it does not take away the pain and unfair treatment they experienced over the past two years. She added that they struggled to understand how something like this could have happened and had to deal with many difficult situations, especially when it was presented as something meant to support or protect women.

Baldoni said that many painful things had been said over the past two years, adding that they did not want to add anything more. And that is why they wanted to let the justice system run its course. Emily further added:

"The truth and the facts have spoken for themselves, and here we are."

Baldoni, answering the question of how they're doing, said that they're healing, mentioning that it's not linear as they rethink for themselves what matters, adding that it's family, kids, community, and faith. Baldoni said they now feel more connected to their faith than they ever have before.

He thanked his fans for supporting and fighting for him through their intuition and discernment, adding that he's in a good place only because of them.

Justin Baldoni also shared a lesson that he learned from the experience, saying that when God presses that reset button and everything is taken from someone, that is the time when love shows up, adding that they felt loved.

The couple concluded the video by mentioning that while they have "so much more to say," they will be taking their own time as they concentrate on healing and spending time with their kids while enjoying life.

It Ends With Us was released in August 2024, and four months later, Blake Lively claimed Justin Baldoni sexually harassed her. The lawsuit quickly became a major talking point, with many high-profile names, including Lively's close friend Taylor Swift, also becoming part of the story.

Earlier this year, in May, Lively's and Baldoni's sides agreed to settle the case before it went to trial. Additionally, they released a joint statement, stating that their film It Ends With Us is a "source of pride to all of us" that helped bring attention to domestic violence and support survivors.

As reported by Deadline, a decision from Justin Baldoni's side is expected by July 13 regarding the next steps in the case.
